I couldn’t see a thread for Amber - I’ve just seen her recent catfish make up tutorial and I can’t get over how dirty and unwashed her make up brushes are and how expired her make up looks. Her skin also looks clogged and like it’s never properly cleansed after the 20 layers of make up she cakes on - and her fake nails are soiled with fake tan, glue and crusty make-up and other crumbs and bits of crap underneath … her aesthetic seems very 2000s in a bad way. Shaved eyebrows which are manically drawn on and look obviously fake/ like block brows, swollen lip fillers that have migrated outside of her lip, comical overlined lips, cheap fake black hair extensions. I feel like there’s an expiry date for her kind of look/the way she acts when people are now moving towards clean beauty, minimal make up “clean” beauty looks and understated neutral outfits

So I do find her entertaining to watch but there are still some problematic things about her..

- Literally completely changes her natural skin colour to a much darker olive/tan shade. She seems to have an issue with her naturally very pale skin. (She's posted images of her when she was a child and she's a completely different shade)

-Always trying to give off a "sexy" "insta-ho" look - I do wonder for her younger followers whether she is setting such a positive example.. she speaks about body positivity etc etc but prescribes to a very specific societal "ideal" and seems quite desperate to conform...big injected duck lips, tanned skin, ethnic ambiguity, curvy but slim Kardashian type of body and style, photoshops her waist a lot in photos, close up chest shots in underwear etc all over instagram as she knows s*x sells. I guess she did have body issues growing up (she mentioned an ED at one point) so maybe she is super self-conscious still, particularly with such a big platform.

I think she has cultivated a clever online character though..and her rags to riches story is appealing to a lot of people and it means people can't really judge her crazy spending as she has "earnt her fame" and also has a nice property and a business aside from youtube now too.

I do like amber but her most recent video I just feel is disappointed with her home and extremely underwhelmed.

I love the antique rococo era look and the beautiful gold and marble, ornate fixtures but I just can’t believe she thinks those mirrorsfit the house and I absolutely hate the bathroom like wtf she’s ruined it by keeping those ugly cheap 80s mirrors everywhere. I can’t believe her of all people is keeping this full white washed look, no colour at all on any of the walls. It had so much potential to be so beautiful but she’s ruined it. Nothing goes at all and her last few videos are so half arsed.

Yeh honestly her content haa got pretty dry recently. She's really dragging the "skycastle" reno out and pushing her 333 jewellery to fund it. Just feels v samey and boring. Even her hauls seem chaotic atm.. she's lost the themes to her videos and not really doing DIY's which is the content she's most liked for
Also she's collabing with her sister a lot recently..guessing she wants a slice of the youtube pie and she's piggybacking off amber's success..

I know Amber loves to call herself her own sugardaddy and has said in videos that she has never had one so who knows. When she was struggling for cash back in the day and driving for postmates, she also used to do odd gigs as a background extra and did event modelling (AKA standing around looking pretty/ wearing skimpy 'sexy' clothes at events. The fact that she did promo/ event modelling doesn't necessarily mean anything but she could have quite easily met rich men at these events who may have propositioned her for money.. I do recall she has been to the playboy mansion.. Probably as an event model.

I really dislike how tarty Amber has got and how much of a contradiction her message is with what she posts.

She is one minute "oh you are art - love yourself as you are" and the next she's vlogging saying how "calories don't count on holiday" and how fat she'll be after eating certain things. A really irresponsible message given her large young female audience.

Her Instagram and tiktok are becoming soft core prn and she dresses like a trashy stripper.

The botox and fillers are out of control too.

Loved Amber in the beginning of her YouTube career, and loved her videos like shopping in the kids section, etc.. nowadays it’s same old same old, also I was looking at her poshmark few months ago and seeing that Burberry skirt she bought at the kids’ section, and selling it for triple the price girllllll, she even posted the video where she bought it and the price she paid lmaaao

Half the time she flips things via her poshmark and she gets a profit because people want to buy stuff from her as they are a fan.. She even sold a fake Dior to a fan on there for a lot of money.. If she didn't attach her name to many of her items she wouldn't get much of a profit most of the time. But I guess if people are willing to play the game, she can do what she likes.

Yeh I am questioning a bit her story. It is very much the rags to riches story but it is a bit sus that she had nothing at all to her name as she claims. Her dad is chief financial officer of a wellness tech company so I imagine they're fairly well to do as a family.

She always says she wants someone romantic who will sweep her off her feet fairytale princess style, but in LA/ Beverly Hills, she prob meets a tonne of good looking actor/ influencer/ dancer/ musician/ wannabe celebrity types who are shallow and narcissistic. The obsession with projecting this sort of sexy Instagram babe Kim K clone is in honesty giving off a very different impression compared to what she says she actually wants.

Lol Amber's new video is so ridiculous.. It's hardly a shopping spree/haul if you're invited to a showroom. It's basically the PR company who reps the brands getting free publicity off her channel and they freebie gift her some of the bits they want to publicise from brands looking for commercial exposure.
