I could cry, I really could. I flick through Instagram before I go to sleep as a bit of mindless distraction, but all the Christmas hype is too much at the moment. I probably follow the wrong people - those with seemingly perfect lives, a beautiful house, perfect children, those that appear to really have it all. She now has four (FOUR?!?) Christmas trees, all beautifully adorned, while there are people out there without a pot to p*** in. There’s a pandemic and people are dying all over the place. I mean rein it in people! The world does not need it rubbed in their faces just now. Hunter and Heels, Come Down to the Woods, Just a Little Build - all you lot - you seem to exist to make the rest of us feel woefully inadequate. As it happens, I’m a hospital doctor, I have a steady income, my position could be worse, but I’m a single mum, have massive student debts, no family support and am working almost every day from now until Christmas. I don’t know if I’ll even manage to get a bloody Christmas tree, let alone decorate it this year. The kids are fed, clothed, and relatively happy. They’re delighted with their paper advent calendars. Did anyone buy me some glamorous, £300 advent calendar? Did they f***. I am exhausted and broken. I have 1 clean pair of knickers left for tomorrow, a pile of washing bigger than Vesuvius, a heap of unwashed dishes and my house looks like a shit tip. But I have aspirations. I WANT to have the perfect home, the beautifully dressed matching children... but it just isn’t achievable and it is making me miserable. Comparing ourselves to others is just not healthy. But why do we do it to ourselves?! It’s addictive, it’s dangerous, and it’s just not right.

It sounds like you are doing whilst amazing job coping with being a single mum and managing the strain of working as a doctor during this extremely strange time.
I think when looking at these accounts on Instagram we have to remind ourselves that the majority of these women claim Instagram as their job so are extremely focused on making their homes look worthy of a grid square or an ad. Also we only see what they want us to see. They focus their time around making their lives look desirable, it's smoke and mirrors. There will be undeclared mess and clutter, chaos, family quarrels, no one is perfect to err is human. The narrative they share that their lives are almost faultless is fictitious, we live in a world of duality where happiness and distress ebbs and flows. Don't take it to heart and compare yourself, your children will have a wonderful Christmas just spending time with you regardless of the number of Christmas trees or presents.

If I wanted to Meerkat my life I’d start by not buying overpriced plastic flowers. Or maybe I missed the point and should be getting my bills down so I can swipe up and afford more £80 jumpers.

I've just gone on her Instagram to see what you were talking about. FFS advertising services YOU CAN'T EVEN BLOODY GET IN NORTHERN IRELAND. These "influencers" are such a pile of turd. I cannot believe they get paid by companies to promote things they are clearly lying about. Laura Ad lives in Northern Ireland. Compare the Market do not offer energy quotes or switching facilities in NI and she specifically mentioned energy bills.

Pure lies. And noone seems to notice.

Just wish all these influencers would come out and say “putting my tree up because I’ve partnered with loads of companies in the run up to Christmas, it’s my business after all”. Just be up front - do these people actually think we are all so thick we don’t see it?!? Honestly think 2022 will be the fall of the influencer it’s just exhausting watching the pretence now.

I used to really like Laura-Ann but the amount of money she spends is just completely ridiculous. Is there ever a day that goes by where she doesn't spend hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds? Her consumerism knows no bounds. The last straw for me was when she replaced that gorgeous Cath Kidston stair carpet with the most expensive stair carpet known to man, just because the CK one had a couple of frayed bits on the edges. It's completely wasteful. Does she never just make-do with anything? Is nothing in her home something she's had for longer than a couple of years? Even though they are a wealthy family she is spends money every day like Michael Jackson on an annual trip to Vegas.

I'd like to see her doing something with her Instagram that isn't just about wastefully acquiring more stuff. Not everything about being an influencer has to be purchasing. She could do more stuff like making things with the kids, ideas for fun activities, makeup and hair or fitness... just something that isn't so ridiculously wasteful. I would be ashamed of myself if I were her.

Well done to her. I wouldn't be fit to do that. I much prefer this sort of post where she's actually having fun with her kids than dressing them like a joules catalogue and her swishing her skirt beside them.

Can someone explain to me why she was gifted garden furniture? No.1 garden furniture is so scarce this year again, nearly impossible to get your hands on it and huge demand No.2 the set she’s advertising isn’t available until 2022. Is anyone really going to order that far in advance?
I don’t understand why a company would gift her a product that’s flying out the doors; and paying customers can’t actually buy it. Seems very silly on company’s behalf

I am definitely no fan of Laura-Ad, but I have to admit I thought she looked great in her outfit given that the outfit was for a Mamma Mia event, it was appropriate. But you obviously wouldn’t be wearing it to Tesco to do the weekly food shop (or M&S in Laura Ann’s case) for 3 young kids she does always look great, even if some of her outfit choices are questionable

I think people make such a big deal of other peoples gender disappointment. Maybe on some level she might have thought that it would be nice to have a girl but I she probably didn't care either way. I think by your third it can be like that, I'm a mum of two girls due my third girl in 6 weeks and the amount of people who have made comments about how I must be disappointed and asked if I'll be trying again is crazy, mainly health professionals We're happy, we love our girls, what does it matter.

I will also be using baby no.2's first outfit on baby no.3, for different reasons, sentimental and there are no shops open to buy anything else so even if we were having a boy it might have ended up in no.2's clothes until lockdown ended

I wasn’t expecting this, she is definitely moving up, her lifestyle is now way beyond the average insta mum. I would have put her earnings on a similar level to Anna BB but she is nowhere near LA. She is at home dancing in a garden shed while LA is in a 5 star resort in Mauritius !

Look, I go inside to events and restaurants these days, but all I can think of watching those Mama Mia stories is COVID PARTY. ‍

Oh come on. Move on, life is for living. Those who want to be are vaccinated. There will always be risks, there will always be viruses. You cannot give up living for fear of risks. Stay at home if you wish but those that want to live their lives please do so.

So, George had to make a video about what his parents do for work and Laura Ad has made a video showing them packing a Wearelittlecheapplasticbuds order. Well I suppose it’s difficult to make a video showing how Mummy is a freeloader, blags a lot of free stuff and gets the sheep to swipe up and make her some more money. That would be a tricky one.

I think it’s so telling that she has managed to turn a presentation for a primary school into an ad/ opportunity to sell herself.

It's possibly her dress sense and modesty that appeals to the Abu Dhabi tourist board as an ambassador. They would hardly choose a young wan whos grid is bikini pics and PDAs. She probably appeals with the wholesome family persona and quite ladylike.

Absolutely not! I can usually be found over on the Blossoming birds threads because she's local to me and I often see her out in the wild (or the Ingham family thread but that's a whole other level) .

I was just correcting the bankruptcy comment so that tattle isn't accused of making things up. I'm not saying that insolvency is any better than bankruptcy, either way other people end up out of pocket. I also thought it wasn't appropriate to show the building of a huge house while creditors were going unpaid but then you never know what deals go on behind the scenes of a business being wound up.

I don't give a toss about the instafloggers selling a lifestyle, if that's how they chose to make their money, then fair play to them - for me, no amount of money could buy my privacy and dignity. My bugbear on insta is the selling of children, Laura has scaled back on this compared to Anna so I don't really criticise her too much, Anna on the other hand...
