She got her new sofas in yesterday and the first thing she done was throw those god awful blankets - that were on the stinking sofa - over the top of them 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

How has she got £4.5k spare to pull out her a for new fences and patio?! I’m honestly gobsmacked at her spending. My garden is pretty small and I needed new fencing…it took me 2 full years selling on Vinted and eBay to be able to afford to get it done!
I also wish I could go food shopping and buy every single thing I wanted even though it would make me ill spending £160.
I am so sick of people seemingly having it all on Instagram.

I’m a single mum on benefits (I’m looking for a job, don’t attack me) and it would take me years to save up 4k😂 Clearly I should become a tiktoker if that’s how much they’re making
Best of luck with your job search. Hope you get some luck x

I unfollowed but after reading here I had to go and look - porcelain tiles… I’d absolutely love these but they are so expensive so we’re saving up to get our garden done next year for the summer, we both work and have a good income so I am baffled at where she gets this money from?! No way would I put these in a house I don’t own… She is just reckless in all areas of her life!

Gifted a brand new sofa from sofology, because she is sharing her 'journey' of getting a #councilhouse ! WTF!! How about these companies gift someone who is actually in need! People saying to her she deserves it 😡 we still have a bleeping 2nd hand one and we work. These Instagram huns drive me insane!
---
Just getting sick of them! I've popped a message to said company, if we are ever in a position to afford a new sofa I defo won't get one from them!! They don't even do NHS discount!! So bad 😡

Pisses me off when companies give away to all these instacunts (I hate the c word , never use it) who do duck all all day - prance around begging and emergency service workers get duck all

Glad she’s had probably 2k worth of sofa ‘gifted.’ Not.

I’m sat on my sofology sofa that was NOT cheap.

Not being funny but are ‘thrifty’ renovators and lone parents in council housing really their target market? As the price tag I paid says otherwise.

You are so right. Now that I know Sofology gifted that sofa, I would NEVER buy from them. It's completely off-putting and a slap in the face to real customers frankly.

I don’t get how if you qualify for social housing because of a low income and then your income quadruples that you are still entitled to it ? Or do they raise the rent in accordance with your income ? Excuse my ignorance I’m not familiar with the UK system 🙈 she’s raking it in on instagram I’d say.

No it’s a flat rate regardless, I believe. You just have to qualify at the point of applying/being offered a property, then you can do what you want basically.

Her account is actually hugely damaging for its portrayal of getting a council house. She needs to stop using the #councilhouse hashtag because it’s in no way indicative of the majority of people’s experiences in acquiring social housing.

It’s weird because it seems to be inspiring this tiny group of single mums to forge their own council house content creating career by glamourising the process of painting crappy arches on walls, purchasing £140 of TK Maxx Halloween decorations and waffling into your phone all day.

Her account is actually detracting from the real problems of social housing in this country such as the enormous wait times on the list, the floor and bed poverty when people move in as they have no money from months or years of private renting and the absolutely awful right to buy policy.

She initially claimed that she wanted her account to challenge the stereotype of council houses being full of single mums on benefits but I’m not sure that her new portrayal of single mum with buckets of disposable income in social housing is any better…

We never had a new sofa, in the 28 years of living with my Mum. Hell we never had new furniture or appliances. Everything was from friends/family or charity shops. Clothes included. I still have our xmas tree (25 years strong lol) but I did treat myself to new stuff when I got my own place....however my sofa was from Harvey's outlet still so ex show room one 🤣. Old habits.

She won't have any money left once people get bored and F off

Thing is she’ll hang on to followers, as @sleepingstandingup said there’ll be the ones that think if they post enough rit and paint enough walls a garish colour they too can have free sofas and tins of paint. She’ll be aspirational to some people, which is an absolute joke and just shows the bad side of social media…there’s nothing about her that should be aspirational in the slightest, at the start maybe but not now, but her feed will always be full of those saddos saying ‘you’ve done so well babe, you totally deserve this 🤮

I’d be totally pissed if less than 24 hours after delivering a gifted sofa someone phoned and wanted to claim another on their insurance as they’ve been careless. She should have to pay for the replacement, or use the ‘tips’ she knows works and salvage it. She’s so wasteful, entitled and far from the account she started as.

Don’t know if anyone has seen or if it’s an old story but not even 48 hours in and the little one has drawn over the cushion with a pen 😂😂

And there she was saying how clever and careful she always is with her toddler 🤣

I was absolutely gobsmacked when I saw the pen on the sofa story! I bet the insurance are absolutely livid when she calls them. I'd be absolutely embarrassed if I was her.
