I didn't like it at all, only half was eatenBought the brioche chocolate croissant, it's 89p so for the money, it's adequate but I wouldn't buy it again, very claggy.
Danke. I know an American friend of mine is always amused by what we get for their week. Can’t see if it's bacon or lamb. Will report back![]()

I had one, it lasted about a year before setting on fire (luckily I was in the kitchen at the time) bought a velvetiser the next dayHas anyone got a review for the lidls milk frother? Always been tempted by the hotel chocolat velvetiser but it's pricey for something that could end up shoved in the back of a cupboard.

Lidl scones are amazing, they're full of fruitWe haven't had British week in ages. I'm excited to see what they will have on offer. Reckon those scones might be any good? (Probably not)

Fried chicken buckets, weird desserts and milkshakes, BBQ flavoured cheddar (?), strange flavoured crisps, dips and lots of odd bits. I do like the peanut butter filled pretzel sticks though.Bitte
What do you get for American week?
Here it's peanut butter, burger/ hot dog buns, hot dog sausages, pizza, brownies, and random sweets usually. All of these things are available all year round as well, though, so idk why they bother.
Love that you get a British week! Are you in Germany or Austria? I always love the themed weeks, but most of them are so far from authentic that it's laughable. Apart from the cheese, you can normally get good cheese! We haven't had British week in ages. I'm excited to see what they will have on offer. Reckon those scones might be any good? (Probably not)

Do I want to know why?.Your brave eating the pastries
According to my local Lidl last week, bakery is good for you.Your brave eating the pastries
Well whenever I have visited, I always see mainly children, but not exclusively, manhandling the pastries. You could not pay me to eat them.Do I want to know why?.

Scones are super easy to make yourself if you wanted to try them. Any supermarket packet ones aren't going to be as nice as freshly baked.
The key to good scones is to handle them as little as possible and try to eat them within a couple of hours of baking. They don't last too well IMO but if you can't eat them all then 10 minutes in the oven at a low heat to refresh them works well.I'm from Germany.
In Austria, Aldi is called Hofer for some reason.
I suppose I won't bother with the scones and instead try and find a good recipe online to make them at home.
