The Aldi Ballycastle mince pies are divine. Had one with my Baileys coffee as a mid morning treat and they'll have to be bought again.

I talk myself out of chocolate now by looking at the ingredients.
This bar would definitely be out for me, as my specialist said "no sunflower oil, you have too much inflammation!"
I was shocked at the time to see how much I'd been swilling down myself including other seed oils. It was even in the milk I bought!
Now I've noticed they're replacing good fats with palm fat to save money. 😥
Also if I'm ramming it in like I'm on my last five minutes I know it's not good, but made deliberately addictive.😏
I've been made aware of the palm oil too. Also been told to avoid. M&S and Cadbury off the menu now. Luckily aldi have chocolate thats ok.

Saw Aldi are doing a Ninja Creami knock off. Is it going to be limited to two per store or some other stupidly low number? I really want one but I would think they will have sold out within the hour.
You’ll be able to pick one up on a reselling site later today at twice the price don’t worry 🥴

Sharing good/bad experiences with both shops. Aldi is my personal favourite, especially their candle dupes.

I agree the Lidl app change seems unnecessary. It's essentially my corner shop buy I prefer some products from Aldi so changing won't affect me at all.

Just tried one of these new protein quark bars from Lidl, very nice if you like cheesecake and fancy a little healthy ish treat. They're in with the protein desserts, 39p. Only tiny but fine for that price. There was another flavour too, think it was plain vanilla.

I'm not sure if they're meant to have been a special buy but the Aldi Specially Selected pork and leek sausages are absolutely 😍😍😍

Had some with mash and gravy yesterday and picked at them all day today from the air fryer drawer. Would recommended.

I know this probably sounds so daft but those of you in a small household, do you still buy the cheap veg? There’s only two of us and I would find it difficult to use 2kg of potatoes before they’re no longer fit to eat, I find Aldi pots start sprouting after a few days even with decent storage. Brussels usually I would get a 200g bag which is 95p! I feel conflicted over buying the 5p stuff just to waste half of it for the saving.
You can do extra roast potatoes and freeze them and blanch the Brussels and freeze them .

Yes, I'm going to try Lidl tomorrow and see if they have any of their dates left. They were so soft and sticky, I had to limit myself to just three or four so I wouldn't be sat on the toilet the next day.

Was it one of the low calorie Halo Top dupe ice creams? I had an awful experience with the sugar free sweets (the same one that everyone else has had with them 💩💩💩) & it’s the Xylotol in them that’s the sugar replacement.

I know there's a few in here that like frickles. Kfc are doing them at the moment
I've just got the email so now have to download the app and get dressed for collection. Thank you. Thanks a lot 😡

(Fingers crossed it's not horrid)

That does sound good, do you know when they go on sale as I have to make a special bus journey to get to Lidl. Not far away but akward to get to without a car.
As lolly said 09/02. I think we'll give them a whirl. Tried a new Italian restaurant in our town Friday and it was so average for the money. I think I'm over eating out (sorry economy!).

Is that face because you missed it or you don't drink it.
😂 Concern that my most bought item this year is Prosecco!

Loaded up on the 5p veg today and got a whole duck for £6.50, leg of lamb for £13 and our turkey. Apparently Aldi’s £9.99 champagne is rated highly so going to pick a couple of those up for last minute gifts.

Not my photo but I bought the top left one. Oh my word, what a lovely treat. It's a big bar, 200g, and was £2.89, I think, yet would happily recommend. Good thickness of chocolate on it, delicious filling and just enough sweetness without being overwhelmingly so.
I saw them and dragged myself away. I've only just rehabbed myself from the pretzel chocolate someone recommended on Tattle, to risk anything else!

Thank you! 🥰

Question, dear British tattlers: We don't have clotted cream here, would it be very blasphemic to put butter on scones? 🤔
Buttered scones are lovely, as they are with whipped cream if you don’t have clotted.

I think you can make clotted cream at home if you are curious / dedicated / time rich. The canny Cornish dairy farmer we used to stay with when I was a kiddy made his own clotted cream in the oven, to flog to the grockles (us). Proper crusty top but frankly tasted like cowshed. Too close to the source 🤨
