I got the Kevin carrot cake too but my 3 year old is obsessed with playing birthdays and making party invites. It’s her birthday in January so I’m keeping those for her birthday.

I got the air fryer and slow cooker set to give her for Christmas as she already has a toy kitchen. The only thing I couldn’t get was the tea set.

I went in at 9am after the school run and it was busy but lots of stuff had already sold out.

People are selling the wooden stuff on Vinted for like twice/triple the price

This is honestly scum bag behaviour. Can’t stand people who’s first thought it to rip other people off.
Do what I’m doing. Seek out the sellers that are posting via Royal Mail as it’s not integrated and tracked, claim it didn’t come and get refunded, I can even make them wait up to 30 days before reporting an issue as well. I bought 4 yesterday.

I’ll resell them at cost on Vinted to vetted buyers actually wanting them for their kids.

Should add I meant I’m doing this on Vinted. EBay are more on the ball and more likely to side with the seller.
Resellers gonna learn though. Think they’re getting £40-60 and they’re ending up with nothing.

Scumbag behaviour meets scumbag behaviour!

This is quite savvy.
My postie is a gem so I'd feel bad for him IF he was to deliver.
How do you vet buyers to target ongoing sales.

I don't feel our Lidl store ever recovered from last years toy sale.

I've missed a few freebies of late not checking my Lidl app!

I’m on a few Vinted groups where there’s a lot of parents who are genuine, I’ve also got some people in my local FB who i know from the area that will be genuine that I’ll make sure it goes to them.

Right this is a long shot but did anyone who bought the Aldi wooden walker know how the hell you build the thing!!? No instructions in my box

Has anyone tried any of these yet? Bought the Irish cream liqueurs from alidi last year and they were pretty good.

Any recommendations for stuff you like that I can put in a Christmas hamper for a raffle?
When I've asked people what they'd like to see in a Christmas hamper number one was crackers! I've picked up some cheese twists from Aldi but I'm stumped on what crackers to get.
Then that probably means getting a jar of some chutney but I don't know the nice ones
I've bought some crisps and 2 mini Christmas puds but that's it.

They have some nice chutneys in Aldi at the moment - Specially Selected ones in square jars, chilli, caramelised onion, fig etc. I buy lots of them.
Do they mean cracker biscuits or Christmas crackers. Aldi have some flavoured biscuits, again Specially Selected which are herb flavoured.

The crème brulee nougat bars in the Christmas section are incredible!

It's got to be a chutney that everyone would like. My dad loved Aldis chilli jam a while back and as he likes moaning I nearly collapsed with shock
They meant cracker biscuits - can't see them spreading chutney on a Christmas cracker unless that's a thing
I saw the beetroot crackers last night.
The lady who used to do the hamper seemed a bit stressed about it so I immediately thought backstabbers/moaners - what am I letting myself in for?

I've just been trawling through my Tattle bookmarks for things previously recommended, so I have a few more ideas now. I'll go check out if they're still available - soup, shortbread, stollen, panetonne, nuts, After 8 own brand and chocolate bars. Plus the Merry Berry Jam from M and S which was raved about.
Regarding the moaners etc I'll just say you're trying it for the price of a raffle ticket if you win so quit moaning!
Start as I mean to go on as I'll probably be doing it every year now.
