I don't know what Lidl have done to their chocolate digestives but they've gone from being better than McVities to inedible. It's been a while since I last bought them so not entirely sure when they changed, but I had a bad feeling as soon as I saw the packaging was different. They're now like chewing a lump of concrete - rock solid and tasteless.

I know it's such a small life problem, but I'm so sick of everything continually getting bleeper.
They’ve changed the bakery cinnamon buns too!!! Like you I hadn’t had one in ages but had one yesterday and it was so dry! They’ve got rid of the icing it was just stodgy and dry 😭

I’m guessing massive cost cutting across the board, hence reduction in quality.

Race to the bottom, everywhere.

Branding all the French stuff in Lidl with Emily in Paris feels like a hate crime

I do hope they choose some UK Netflix show for the British brand. I'd go with Claire Foy as a young Elizabeth on all the chutney and Cheddar.

bleeper and more expensive because of shrinkflation! I’m very fed up with Aldi’s marketing strategy which now seems to revolve around “viral” fad products for social media influencers which are launched for a five-day window and are never seen again (frickles is just one example). I’ve switched to Lidl now because at least their app has useful coupons and their customer service is very good via WhatsApp.

Is there a dark chocolate shortage that I’m not aware of? All the ‘nice’ bars in Aldi have been out of stock for weeks 😭

pecan, did you get to try a pecan slice thing?
No I didn’t. I have no idea if they’re still in, maybe I’ll check at the weekend. Thankfully now that Lidl is further away I’m not as easily tempted. 🤭 If I do get to try it I will report back

I'm not sure if they're still in either. I was a not liker but didn't stop me from inhaling the whole thing I claim to not like.

I can highly recommend the pickled pink onions in a jar from Aldi , they are delicious.
I have also been influenced by you lot and bought the frozen ready meals in a bag, I had the chorizo pasta one earlier and it was lovely .

I can concur re the pink pickled onions, delish.
Those frozen pecan plaits in Aldi are also much nicer than the Lidl pastries in the bakery.
I've tried both the Aldi banoffee & the chocolate hXb, neither were nice, no caramel option this year 🤷‍♀️
I bought the Aldi jalfrezi curry from the refrigerator, was ok but realise it's the freezer meals being suggested so I'll address that next visit.

Lidl did that to me and then they were gone for good 😢
I don’t know what’s going on. I hope they’re not going to vanish permanently but I can’t find them on Aldi website either. All that’s available in the Moser Roth range with cardboard sleeve is milk, dark mint, dark orange and dark salted caramel. Where is the plain dark choc??? 😭
