The hypocrisy is real! She has organised pile ons and used her naive followers to help her go after people. Now she is turning on her bafflingly loyal audience aggressively telling them they owe her money! Truly, truly shocking. I do not want to downplay mental health issues but she is a manipulative bully. She has not invented the wheel and when it comes to these issues I prefer to listen to scientists who are far more trustworthy than a loud mouth bigot who lived off of her parents until she figured out a way to grift. I really hope these demands for money mean that the grift is finally up. Seriously f*ck this woman.

This is starting to remind me of when Chidera (slumflower) started demanding money from anywhere and everywhere (including the royalties from Florence’s book) under the guise of ‘reparations’. Different circumstances but a similarly manipulative, toxic vibe.

Aja is so contradictory. she boycotts certain brands because they are ~problematic~ for clout (Oatly) but continues to work with others (Lush) despite them being just as problematic and the others. she does a lot of virtue signalling to look good to her followers.

The recent stories are fucking WILD. So comments in her post, with two ladies disagreeing which she didn’t have to insert herself into and could have just deleted as led to her doxxing someone and saying online spaces are going to kill her and berating people to sign up to her patreon? If anyone has signed up after that because Aja wants to pay for private surgery in a cost of living crisis and her content is that groundbreaking, you’re a fuckkkking mug.

I unfollowed her years ago. I don’t know if anyone remembers Lucy and Yak gate where they did a series of apologetic videos due to her vitriol. Their brand grew massively very quickly and she slammed them for the fit and range of their plus size items. I was intrigued and then all I saw was her constantly slamming ‘white ladies’ as a blanket statement and no nod to any form of intersectionalism. She’s absolutely vile and I unfollowed her for that reason. She has no idea about people’s financial status or background whether white or black!!! People consume her videos because she chose to create an online platform. No one owes her shit and the sooner she realises that the better.
Oh god, i forgot about a lot of that shit! When she called that kid ugly and then justified doing it. She's nasty and vindictive, and uses racism to excuse herself from any culpability.

I’m really struggling with Aja at the moment. She did a Twitter thread the other day on how she tried to make sure she never came across as poor in white spaces. Then confirmed that her family weren’t poor, whilst complaining that white people are calling her out for being privileged.

I completely understand that she’s faced prejudice and racism but her approach is mind boggling. Saying things as derogatory as ‘I hate it when white ladies come into my dms’ and ‘it’s super stinky when you say you feel for me but you take my labour for free’— I think she’s missing the point that she CHOSE to create this following and this platform, no one forced her to! And I’ve seen plenty of high end holidays and clothes suggesting she’s not poverty stricken, unlike those who she has no idea about and assumed due to their skin colour that they are wealthy! It’s insane.

Eugh this ones such a hypocrite, I’m sure a while ago she was going off on one about Lucy & Yak not being size inclusive and then the other day proceeded to show a dress that was from a company that didn’t appear to be size inclusive, but it’s apparently ethical and fits her narrative, so it’s ok 
Aja rants loud enough and for long enough that it convinces people she really is ~doing something~ but really she's a bitter woman who loves the sound of her own voice too much!

It sounds like she's subtweeting a thread on her IG where she was criticising J*hnny D*pp's daughter, who said something about nepotism and someone who knows her IRL mentioned in the comments that Aja benefited from nepotism herself because the high school jobs she had were from her dad and a lot more beneficial to her future than like, a cashier job might have been. That became a whole pile on where Aja tried to defend her jobs that her dad gave her in TV production by saying they were also places where she experienced racism and sexual harassment and anyway, she only had them so that she could... pay her way on family vacations to the south of France every year. That is also a lot of privilege she's not acknowledging.
Honestly, this was the last straw with me. I've seen so much drama and excused it because she does make some good points and makes me think about how fast fashion, fatphobia and climate change intersect with racism and privilege but when she couldn't acknowledge the ways she has privilege too, even in the slightest really made me see exactly how hypocritical she is. Like, ok, those jobs came with sexual harassment and racism, which sucks and shouldn't be tolerated at all. Lots of jobs come with those things. But it doesn't negate the fact that she had a job that gave her professional network contacts while she was in high school because of who her dad was. That's literally all the person was saying, it seemed like to me. I could be wrong. Apparently I am because there was some tone-shaming going on that I didn't fully understand.
It's okay to acknowledge that your parents wanted you to have you nice things, and part of those nice things were trips to France. It's also ok to say that you had to work for them. It doesn't mean that this is a competition of who had it worse. And I honestly don't see how race comes into play with it. I don't mind at all if people benefit from their parents' careers and hard work, as long as those people are also hard working and acknowledge that they were able to benefit in ways some people can't.

All her ‘activism’ takes place on insta, the doxxing, the petty take downs. She’d like a kid ganging up on other kids on snap chat. I think SM has messed with her head.
