Seems like she’s pulling out of the BRITs next week too. I didn’t even know she was booked to perform. This ‘30’ era of hers is truly spiralling like never before

That doesn’t help things at all. She could have turned up and put on an amazing performance, then people would be talking about that instead.
Especially because it was a Brits performance that really helped her break through, people would have been so hyped to see her.

I could see this coming a mile off. She has changed so much from the “real “ Adele, that she is currently going through a massive identity crisis. She was chasing ( not pavements ) but the “ ideal “ of having it all and more. She got a bit too greedy in terms of that, and is now alienating her loyal fans in the process.
We loved the old Adele, she didn’t give a f&#£ and it was all about the music and the fans. Now, she has sold herself to the aesthetic devil, lost weight, had fillers, surgery and got a shiny new BF ( one she know she wouldn’t have been able to bag as the old Adele ) and we all thought she had it all ( could of had it all ).
But clearly this transformation of herself, her life and a new man is just too much out of her comfort zone to sustain, and I think the rose tinted bubble has now burst.
Watch this space. I see her taking some time out again now, to concentrate on her MH.

Ultimately my sympathy is with the fans who’ve been let down by these cancellations. I just wonder what the hell is going on.
We know Adele has cancelled shows before, but never to this extent. And there must be some kind of big reason, because Adele and her team would have known it would lead to all this backlash and speculation, but still decided it was worth the risk.

Maybe I’m being naive, but I don’t think she’s turned into some soul-less diva (although I do think she doesn’t respect her fans as much). It’s just that I can’t see her cancelling an entire residency over say, relationship problems (which is just speculation anyway), or the set design. She’s always been pretty professional overall, and you’d hope she has an extremely skilled team behind her.

I think maybe there’s something more than we know about going on behind the scenes, and I just hope she’s ok.

I agree with you. Then coming back in a few years with massive PR behind her for another album where she 'found herself again'.

I didn't have an ounce of sympathy for her ridiculous crying video. She would have known days before the show wasn’t ready, but I’ve never liked Adele anyway. She’s massively overrated, totally fake, has a ridiculous accent and gurns when she sings.

I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt too. I think she may have crippling anxiety.

It would help if she put her hand in her own pocket to help out some of those fans that paid out thousands on a trip to Vegas to see her. She could offer to reimburse some of them for their travel and accommodation costs. A goodwill gesture like that (which she can easily afford) would go some way to restoring her reputation.

Seriously though no ever really been a huge Adele fan, I went to a theatre school and met loads of talented women with great voices, I genuinely feel like Adele got lucky.

I think its a culmination of things that have got on top of her, and everything has now come to a head. The show would be a massive thing in itself, mix that with relationship problems, self doubt and identity issues and you have the perfect storm. In addition, she is not naturally that thin, so that in itself must be very hard to sustain for her.
I think she has imploded, and will take some time out to get help.
Maybe she is not as professional as we all thought.
Look at Beyonce and Brittney. Both carried on with their shows despite huge personal problems. Jay z and his affairs, and Brittney with her conservership and custody battles with her kids.

Agree. There’s lots she could do to salvage her reputation there.
But I think the money is the problem now. She is super rich, super adored and surrounded by fake greedy “yes“ people. They dont care about her, they just care about making money.
She needs to take a few steps back and rediscover the real Adele again, not this shiney boufee haired, chiselled face, skinny minny version of herself.

So the uber indirect embarrassment was that I happened to be friends with adeles mums partner.... I think this was about 2007, so I didn't know who she was then. Me and some mates went to a party which was pretty straightforward, pub, pool. Couple of pills maybe but chilled crowd of like 40 yo... All that happened at the afterparty was some guy gave me too much ghb at adeles mums house and apparently I was flailing around making sealion noises. I saw the other guy having a similar reaction before I chose to partake so only have myself to blame.. Haha. I obviously pissed myself in the interim. Came to and everyone was fairly nonplussed. Thankfully. I was so shamed about my piss Stained dress I think I never spoke to them again...
