Sorry but it wasn't obvious that we had to read the previous quote, not yours, for context.

Also, apologies for boring you about my own weight loss - I just felt it was worth adding some context to my point that her weight loss is totally achievable in the five years we haven't seen her.

I absolutely agree that if she has had gastric surgery but is putting her weight loss solely down to working out then that is wrong and would make her a liar. It's like Fern Britton and her Riviera ads all over again But it's very, very unlikely we'll ever know for sure if she did or didn't so it's all academic anyway

By the way, if you believe some joker on the internet, when they say they have proof that Adele had a gastric band, then I have some magic bleeping beans to sell you.....

I really don’t get the thing about the weightloss surgery. She doesn’t owe people an explanation and WLS isnt exactly an easy ride. It’s a big operation with life changing effects. Honestly I’ve never understood why people use the wls rumour as a negative thing. So if she had that she’s less of a person ? It’s certainly not a quick or easy fix.

Common occurrence, she cancelled shows in 2011 when she wasn’t so famous, again in 2017 - both years we had tickets. I used to love her, we met her in London many years ago, just after she won the Brit i think it was and she was so lovely, but since she ‘LA’d’ herself I now just cringe every time I see and hear her. She reaks fake! Her accent switches from cockney to posh British all the time and what’s with the constant exaggerated hand movements when she’s talking and singing!

Oh, I have no doubt about what you said in the first paragraph. It reflects in her music and she has made a very good career out of it. But this isn’t just about her potentially trashing her own career over a six month relationship, and it’s not even just about her potentially losing fans over it: People - fans - spent a *lot* of money, effort and no doubt time (taken off work) to go to this gig and to throw that back in their faces over (speculatively) insecurity of a 6 month relationship is unacceptable. Losing 5-10 grand may be nothing to her but it’s not to the majority of people.

It’s frustrating because while I’m not the biggest fan of her type of music, I’ve always liked her personality and was rooting (still am rooting) for her. I know people that act like this in real life and whilst it’s frustrating and draining and makes me just want to shake them and slap them with a wet fish(!), unlike Adele they don’t have the responsibility that she has to her fans. And yes, it is responsibility, because this is her job. There isn’t even an excuse of burn out or tiredness or that she’s been overworked because this is her comeback from a five year break, after her previous comeback from a five year break…

I've always thought there was a bit more to the "met her once" story. He was married at the time, but I suspect it was a lot more than one meeting, and then she got with Harry, and that's why Piers hates her so much. There's a very fine line between hate and love...

Like “pulling a Monica” in Friends, now anyone who cancels a show will be “pulling an Adele”, she is that much of a joke and so unreliable. Britney Spears managed to keep her residency going when her father was controlling her and her mental health was in tatters. Celine Dion managed it when her beloved husband had just died, but poor little Adele throws a wobbler the night before and cancels the whole lot because she is unprofessional, weak, spoiled, over rated and cannot sing.
