She has gone rather quiet. I would have thought she would be doing promotional work and be active as much as possible.

I think she lost loads of weight quickly and her face looked so hollow that she then got fillers to plump it all back up.

I think also when your build is naturally on the bigger side, then you loose weight, you end up looking gaunt in the face and lose the youthfulness in your skin.
All the women above, inc Adele, now look more lined in the face as a result of extreme weight loss.
I remember someone once saying, when you get older, you need to choose between your face or your body. Example…Skinny bod, gaunt face, bigger body, more youthful face.

PS… In her defence, that level of fame must be very hard to cope with. Very few stars can handle it. Brittany couldn’t, neither could Mariah, Madonna could for many years ( but has gone a bit nuts more recently ). But the two queens of coping brilliantly with huge amounts of fame ( and are absolute professionals ) are Beyonce and Rhianna.

I know, it just breaks my heart! most of the hardcore fans on twitter etc keep making excuses for her behaviour but there’s only so much BS I can take, I’m not a deluded 13 year old ‘stan’ anymore! She’s going to have to perform some miracles to gain my respect back. I’ll always admire her undeniable talent but it’s safe to say I won’t be investing so much time and money into her life anymore.

Her going all LA I'm indifferent over, it's kinda to be expected if you live out there.

But I'm really not into her music and on paper with hit producers like max Martin, Greg kurstin and shellback I'd expect it to be far better. I'm surprised she still sells so much.

It's like she's retired and phoning it in. AI could probably make the next Adele album.

That definitely happened to me when I lost a lot of weight. I thought I looked great but, when I saw some photographs, I looked absolutely haggard and ten years older.

Truth is, some people just look better fat 🤷🏻‍♀️

I put all the weight back on anyway* (and more) but as Eamonn Holmes says, there's no wrinkles on a balloon 🎈 😂

*I am in the process of losing it again - no drastic diet though this time.

No, I firmly believe this is a long standing issue of hers. I've seen professional photographs with her pupils in this state.

I think she has gone too far now with where she is now. She is such a huge star that everyone wants a piece of her ( and the money she can make them ). She has become a very bankable commodity.
So the only way forward now, is to do a few shows then take some time out again to concentrate on her life, her MH and her son and family.
Dipping in and out of the music business over the years is a very clever marketing ploy, not many performers could pull it off, but comes with it is an even bigger expectation than the last time.

I'm suspicious the whole 'baby next year' bit on Graham Norton was just an effort to distract from Vegas. She seemed to be really enjoying having an older child in her interviews around the album's release, and coupled with a still relately new relationship with someone who both travels constantly and also has older kids, being more social with friends who also generally have older kids... just doesn't seem to make a lot of sense. I guess time will tell.

As for her existing son, her and her ex-husband have always kept his life extremely private. He hasn't been photographed with either of them in years that I can recall, especially after she finished her last tour and wasn't in foreign places where she didn't know where the paps were lurking. But like I said, still lots of chatter from her about him in interviews and he walked into one (off-camera) she did with John Mayer around the album's release. I honestly wouldn't read into it at all.

I feel like I'm in a minority when I say I didn't really feel a big shift in Adele's relatability with this album 🤷‍♀️

She's leaned more into American/LA culture, starting spending the money she's made more, started stepping into the public eye for the first time in ages, lost some weight, got divorced, etc., sure, but I don't think any artist has a responsibility to live materially like I do in order to be relatable. I relate more to their sentiments, and to me, she reads as very much the same girl in that regard.

She's certainly not blameless, but I do think poor marketing/PR management has played a major role in the public's interpretation that she's a totally different person and subsequent backlash.
