That interview was pathetic. Every word must have been approved by her PR. So many excuses and pity parties in brackets (she hurt her back, poor love) (poor baby filmed a music video that she couldn’t release because everyone was being so mean

I've been looking at the latest photos of her in the DM, dressed up to the nines and dripping in jewellery. Who is she trying to appeal to these days? Certainly not her original fan base. She has become totally unrelatable now.
Yeah I found the price tags really tacky, I assume it’s rich people who read magazines the most? I certainly don’t have £2,000+ to drop on a coat or rings.

I saw the photos of her in Vogue and thought she looked really strange in them all. I can't believe anyone would spend money on another ticket to see her...............
I think she's seriously backed herself into a corner with her career. She could just retire and be a mother and spend and invest wisely with the amount of money she's made but she won't. I think she was so young when her first album came out and was successful then her second was just mental and I don't think she really knew how to handle it all. Now however she's a good age not a teenager or in early 20s and I think she's started to like all the fuss over her. She didn't grow up rich or anything now she's rich and not the "large" girl that is a good singer. She's also really only known for songs about relationships and breakups if she wants to continue to put music out she can't just sit back and be a single woman.
She has changed dramatically since the early days and now looks nothing like the original Adele. Her fan base has suffered because she is no longer the 'large' girl with the great voice as you rightly say.
I like Adele because I both like her music and I LOVE a mess, which she clearly is.

That seems unusually quick for an album release, for Adele. And IMO the last one was underwhelming so I wouldn’t have high expectations of this one. Will it just be one big long whinge about how she suffered cancelling the Vegas shows earlier this year? The agony of buying an even bigger multi-million $$ mansion?

The whole album is self indulgent. The lyrics, the tone in her songs. The concept. Her overall attitude. All of her albums have been based around her experiences and this time around has been the first time I’ve thought about watching her interviews - all she talks about are her experiences, how life has treated her. On and on. It is very self indulgent the way she talks about her life like we should care more deeply because it’s her. These are things that happen in life. But she doesn’t put it that way, she goes into long depths of her experience. I think she’s missing the memo of what a songwriter is. To relate to people globally, expressing emotions that as masses, we go through. Not just me me me, mine mine mine. this godlike image put on her just seems to be being fed into constantly. It’s been going on for years. I guess that’s just the media for usI’ve been a HUGE fan of Adele since the 19 days (and I mean huge, I have posters of her all round my house & I’ve seen her live 4 times, spent god knows how much money on her over the years etc)
but she’s lost so much respect from me cancelling the Vegas shows! There’s absolutely no excuse for that, it’s not like she’s cancelling a tour in fan’s home towns. When I first saw her 11 years ago she had a stool & a lampshade and it’s still one of the most incredible shows I’ve ever experienced. People would have spent so much money on a vegas trip all for nothing, it’s not easy or cheap to just rebook another trip when she eventually decides to turn up! I was literally gobsmacked at the crocodile tears apology video she did, what a smack in the face! Then she has the nerve to fly over to the brits & get off her face in a club while fans are stuck in Vegas with bugger all to seeit just doesn’t sit right with me.
I feel like this whole 30 era has been so self indulgent. I don’t even know how to explain it but as someone who has watched literally every single interview she’s ever done I could tell as soon as she came back something about her has changed. I just think the power has gone to her head now & she doesn’t care about anyone else but herself.
I’ve now got to the point where I actually hope the Hyde Park shows don’t go ahead so I can get a refund for the bloody £300 ticket I boughtyou probably all think I’m an idiot for buying it in the first place
Sorry for the rant but I just thought some of you might find it interesting from a hardcore fan’s perspective because most of them still seem to be making up excuses for her behaviour! I just don’t think I could ever forgive her absolute stinking attitude.

I think she’s gone the same way as a lot of artists now, and all her stuff sounds exactly the same. She has upset her loyal fans so if she wants to get a new audience she needs a new sound.

Definitely, I have more respect for those who are succesful and then evolve rather than constantly trying to repeat the same trick. It might not please everyone when you do something different but at least it has integrity, Adele just milks the same cow dry.
Exactly- even if I don’t like their evolution I at least respect them (I’m thinking of Taylor Swift predominately)!
