It’s actually refreshing to come here and read things like the comments from this thread. I fully agree - I’m not cis, I’m just a woman.

I fully support trans people to live their lives however they want. But the political agenda has played it off as women against trans women. Apparently both can’t exist?

There needs to be some acknowledgment from trans women that they may not feel like a man, but they just can’t ever know what it feels like to be a woman. It’s perfectly valid for them to talk about what it means to be a trans woman - and apparently we all must respect that - but women are just not respected in the same way. As usual women are shit all over.

If it’s offensive to say - I feel like I am a black person born into a white person’s body, and I know exactly what it feels like to be black - with no acknowledgment of the the generational and societal weight to what that means - then why is it not ok for women to say trans women will never be able to truly know what it means to be a woman.

It’s just so fucked up. All women are doing by pushing back on this is saying respect us for who we are. But yeah, as usual, that is disregarded and shit all over.

Can I just say how absolutely tragic it is that Laura took Arthur to Chelsea to meet the witches, when she comes from HAMPSHIRE?! It’s not even close! Are they not embarrassed?! ‘Welcome to Chelsea!’ CRINGE! I bet at Christmas time they wander round the streets of Chelsea looking in the houses with their greasy noses and inflated lips pressed against the window panes of other people’s windows, looking in at the posh families round their Christmas trees and say to each other ‘next year hun, we’ll meet a Chelsea boy and all this will be ours’. Then they trundle off home on the hour and a half train journey drinking their cans of G&Ts and giving evil looks to all the other passengers.

It’s because she’s a caricature of a woman. It’s like drag queens. Taking those basic external qualities of a woman and exaggerating it. It’s quite insulting in a way because when trans women talk about how they feel like a woman, there’s rarely any depth to it beyond looks. What we look like is a mere drop in the ocean as to what it feels like to be a woman. We have generational trauma to contend with, we have our amazing physical power of creating and growing life, we have the layers and layers of society’s expectations weighing us down…there’s an ocean of depth to what it means to being a woman.

OK. I have an unusual and possibly unpopular opinion but hear me out.
I think Laura is as bullied by those girls as Arthur is.
Laura comes across as a twat but I think we all agree she softened the more time she spent apart from them.
The way they speak to Arthur is disgusting. They are just coming across as old school bullies. Laura has changed her entire body language since she walked into that meeting. She became more haughty and condescending and started to mirror their body language. That is the defence mechanism of a people pleaser.
These are just 2 of a wider coven of bitches and they are just vile. They make a jab and then look to Laura to agree with them.
Also when he stands up for himself their 'poshness' drops and the MIC accents disappear for a bit.
Sorry for the essay but this stuff fascinates me.
I think Laura is desperately trying to fit in with the mean girls because she is insecure and that's why being away from them has softened her.

When he said 'I don't value your opinion' Zoe should have said 'alright then your tattoos are shit, you have shepherd's pie hair and a mouth like a cat's arsehole.'

There once was a husband named kwame
Whose manner was creepy and smarmy
He wrote his missus a rhyme
And it worked at the time
As she rode off in to the weekend on his salami.

Fuck me I hate Peggy.
Her mum is a simpleton, her dad is a gammon and she’s an entitled, repressed moron.

The way she constantly belittles and devalues Georges is revolting. She’s not only an idiot, she’s a nasty piece of work too.

oh and she also weaponises sex.

Wow I wonder how E4 are going to mitigate this. Sticking a trans person on this show probably hoping they'd get woke kudos and actually they've somehow found the biggest trash piece of shit they could've found
