I am widowed with one 17yo son. I often get comments about why me and my late husband only had the one child. The truth is that I had pre-eclampsia and was fearfully ill and our son was born full term, but with no body fat, I produced no milk, but was rather shamed by the NCT mafia for bottle feeding. My son was dx with autism at 4 and ADHD at 6. I was later dx at 39 with autism, so in retrospect, more children would have been a) a struggle and b) almost certainly autistic too.I appreciate that but just saying something isn't meant to offend doesn't mean it doesn't. Also referring to couples that op knows but extrapolating it to suggest it should also apply to m&m does come across as if it should therefore apply to all couples without children.
When there was just childless people upset on the thread and lots of things around Christmas are said about childless and childfree couples it can be upsetting to see even more of it on that same thread just a few posts later.
I'm always happy to be as open as possible and share here on Tattle as it's a nice place, unlike Mumsnet!? Women have it tough - if we choose to have kids then there's the expense and worry of childcare, your career is compromised. I worked part-time for years. If a woman doesn't want children then she feels as though she has to explain why.
Thereth ended the Christmas sermon by the Right Reverend Chicken Licking. I think that Mark's a spoilt, twatty little tosser with a nasty streak - I mean, poor Lauren G. His mother, Leather Face has spoilt him.
