Years ago when I followed her I sent her a message asking her something about a story (wasn't anything major, just a question about her mani coz I like it) She never read it, never mind replying. So true, just another thing to make parents feel guilty about, theyre not "making enough memories" going here there and everywhere.
Also very easy to take 2 months unpaid when you're living rent free in your dads house, pay for nothing, get the place done up on the back of #collabs, also #booktheflight, honestly Aoibhe fuck all the way off. You went over there on the cheap staff rates/standby, you stayed in New Jersey with your mate in his hotel so it cost you nothing. How achievable is that for non airline workers?

Guys, I've never posted on Aoibhe before. I don't follow her but I knew straight away who my MAM meant when she said she had been blocked by her tonight. My mam who is a gem BTW is on Instagram to see grandkids abroad. She stumbled upon Aoibhe and followed her. Today she messaged to ask where she got some pastel crockery and got blocked. Wtf. One look at the profile and you could tell its some aul dear. I don't know why I'm even disgusted, but I am. The girl needs help if old ladies bring out her paranoia.

Also, whilst I’m on one...The whole ‘Be Kind’ movement they all keep spouting as a defence mechanism, is in my opinion, a toxic, double edged sword.

Are these social media hustlers being kind and considerate when they are continually flashing and pushing their seemingly ‘perfect’ lives on to the public?

Page upon page of unrealistic outlooks on life with the perfect self image, ideal homes, family set ups, careers, wealth and possessions. You can’t even browse the daily news now without seeing constant articles from these people (usually paid for by themselves or management), bragging and posing for exposure.

As of February this year, approximately
14 million people in the UK are in poverty. I have no doubt that this figure is set to rise from the effects of the pandemic.

The content these people dish out is hugely detrimental to the average Joe’s mental health. Most people are just trying to get through each day, working long hours to put food on the table and a roof over their families heads. Yet as a collective, these influencers are making people doubt every aspect of their lives and making others feel worthless. Many are getting themselves into debt by trying to force themselves closer to this new quixotic way of life.

Is it kind to wheel out the name of a deceased celebrity everytime somebody wants to push their own agenda?

It is disrespectful. To use the pain and suicide of another to portray a moral high ground to others is ironically as low as it gets.

This entitled influencer culture needs to stop. They should not be trusted or admired. They are promoting unhealthy ideals, based on a foundation of manipulation, narcissism and deceit, all for their own selfish gain.

Instead of jumping and blaming everyone else for making assumptions, why not have a look at what you are sharing??

Why not take the criticism head on, have a look over the posts from the past few weeks and think.... hmm yes maybe when you ONLY see these posts I do come across as smug sometimes? All I'm showing is freebies and ads, maybe I can rein this in a bit ?

God love her, not even 11am and she's finished work. Must be hard having to go back to your free child care or the kids dad and collect them and head on off to a free event or place.

The single mother thing is really annoying me. I know a girl who's husband died of cancer with 3 young girls (all under 10). They cry weekly, missing their daddy and she cries weekly missing her soulmate. Her dad died young and her mother is in care due to alzheimers. She couldn't afford the mortgage repayments following the purchase of their forever home so she moved into an apartment, she upskilled and became a child carer in a creche so she could mind her children in the same place she works when they finish school because she had no one to pawn the girls off to for a jaunt around Europe on a free. She gets up at 5am to get the girls ready for the 90 minute commute because she wanted them to stay in the same school as their friends so they didn't lose them as well as their dad. THAT is a SINGLE MOTHER, EFA. Get the hell off your high horse and cop the fuck on.

I've spoken on here before about my dear mam.
My mam very bravely threw out my cheating father in the 80s. We were only babies.
She raised us alone. She was a single mam. We saw my dad for a couple of hours every so often. There was no single parent social welfare payment in them days so she scraped by on children's allowance, whatever pittance he gave her and any work she could get around our schooling.
My mam was a bloody hero. We wanted for nothing. She very sadly passed away in the early 90s and I always remember her joking that the single parent payment only came in when she was too sick to spend it.

This one boils my fucking piss. She needs to get over herself. The only thing that was hurt was her pride. They both started this relationship by cheating. It was a sham from the very start.
