All of the information below has been obtained via Kate Malvenan's social media posts on FB and IG (IG handle its_not_kates_time) and via various media interviews and podcasts that she has done.

Kate Malvenan (née Lyne) is an Australian advocate and public figure known for her experience with metastatic ALK rearrangement-positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Diagnosed in 2018 with stage IV lung cancer, her disease had already spread to her lymph nodes, liver, spine, hip, rib, and shoulders at the time of diagnosis. She was prescribed alectinib, a targeted therapy for ALK-positive lung cancer, alongside palliative radiation therapy.

Shortly after her diagnosis, Malvenan sought additional treatments at Hope4Cancer, an alternative cancer clinic in Mexico that offers unproven therapies lacking scientific validation. While continuing to take alectinib, she has credited her survival to the treatments received at Hope4Cancer. However, medical experts attribute the prolonged survival of ALK-positive NSCLC patients primarily to targeted therapies like alectinib, which have been shown to extend life expectancy in clinical trials.

In 2023, Malvenan's cancer progressed, with new tumors detected in both lungs, the brain, and the liver—a progression consistent with the expected trajectory of ALK-positive lung cancer, particularly as resistance to targeted therapy develops over time.

Following her 2018 diagnosis, Malvenan created the Instagram account @its_not_kates_time, which has gained significant attention, leading to:

• Extensive media coverage across print, online, and television platforms.
• Gifts and sponsored services, including photography sessions, meal deliveries, health coaching, personal training, therapy sessions, clothing, massage treatments, hairdressing, and holidays.
• A large following, with significant engagement in the form of likes, comments, and support from followers.

Malvenan has also engaged in fundraising efforts, raising approximately $73,000 through MyCause, a crowdfunding platform similar to GoFundMe. Additionally, she has generated further financial support through the sale of necklaces from her store, Maison & Maison, encouraging followers to purchase items as a way to contribute financially to her health and treatment expenses.

Due to her frequent promotion of Hope4Cancer (H4C)—an alternative cancer treatment clinic in Mexico—she has referred numerous individuals to the center. In return, H4C has covered the costs of her most recent trips to Mexico.

1978 - Born 20 Oct 1978

1988 (approx.) – She did a degree in fine art/Photography back in the UK.comes to Australia, back packing with a boyfriend.

• She says that she was trained in Australia in Film Make up by Peter Frampton - who won a 1995 Oscar for Make up for Braveheart in 1996, after which he retired, relocated to the Gold Coast and set up The Frampton Institute of Cinemagraphic Make-up. Rather than saying that she did course with Peter, Kate describes it as “she trained by Peter Frampton”
• One of her first jobs was when she went back to London to work on one of the Harry Potter films in London (IMDB lists all make up staff – both credited and uncredited. There are two Kati/Katy’s that worked on films 6,7, & 8, between 2009 – 2011. Both are still active working film make up artists. Filming for the first Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, began on September 29, 2000 at Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire, England. Kate celebrated her 40th Birthday in October 2018 – its on of her first IG posts; she would have arrived in Australia – at 20 – in 1998; so she left the UK before filming of any Harry Potter movies began.
• She then came back to Australia and mainly worked for in TV and film for Channel 7, Big Brother, I’m a Celebrity get me out of here.
• She then went to LA and studied there – and did film make up – and taught at an academy of make up in Brisbane.

2009 (approx.) – meets Lyall Malvenan (mother is Sheila; owns a business called Moya interiors which appears to be based in Indonesia – based on the telephone number; prior to that, had a business called decostyle). Lyall is originally from Scotland, but has been here “20 – 30 years”.

2013 – starts homewares shop Maison & Maison

2015 Nov – Annabel Rose Malvenan born. Accodring to Kate,

• she found out Lyall was smoking ice/methamphetamine 3 weeks after Annabelle was born
• He was in and out and in and out and in and out of rehab
• She found out about affairs, and prostitutes and theft; he lost his job

2016 – Kate leaves husband, allegedly due to his drug addiction. In the podcast, Lemonade, in 2019 Kate says that

• When Annabelle was 1 year old, Kate found her on the floor with an ice pipe in her hand
• This podcast was in 2019 and she says “to this point, he’s been living on the streets, using intravenously. Ice has got him and its very, very sad. We haven’t seem him for two years…..I don’t want to be one of those mums that bags their ex….he was a great man, he was a wonderful man and I still like to think of him in a positive light”
• Went into a dark place after this – was suicidal and went on anti depressants (had just gone off them the week before this podcast)
• Still has a relationship with Lyalls parents and her step daughters/Annabel’s half sisters

2018

• Was put on a targeted therapy drug and told that this “might give you 18 – 24 months to live” . It is unclear who gave her this figure; whether it was given purely to help her to access her life insurance; wether it was a figure if she did not take the alectinib/have treatment as it is known that alectinib, if successful can extend life fo 5 – 7 years before the tumour may become unresponsive to it, and patients then need to change to another drug, that will also keep them alive for several years. In addition, on the 5th Feb, she says in an IG post “ I’ve got big questions to ask that an “intern or young registrar can’t answer: primarily being how long they believe I have to live” – this implies that her oncology team have not discussed life expectancy with her. Shes also regularly said that she was told that she had a 0% of survival – but in another IG post she talks about how the only time she has done any reading about her disease, was when she read that her statistics for survival were 0% - so this new story makes me question if anyone actually gave her this 0% figure.
• Her GP told her to just go home and drink wine (this came about from a conversation where she had gone to her GP and told her GP that she would no longer be drinking because sugar feeds wine, and her GP told her “That’s ridiculous Kate, now’s the time that you should be drinking “
• She was told by a GP, A radiologist, an oncologist and a lung specialist that there is nothing that they can do for her. So for two very dark days she thought that she was going to die

2019


8th Jan – results from a CT scan are, according to Kate’s Public Hospital oncologist (who she later complains has only attended one of her appts; its otherwise always interns or inexperienced registrars ) “remarkable” – in the 12 weeks since diagnosis

• Lung tumour has reduced by 75%
• there is no cancer in any of her lymph nodes
• multiple bone cancers are solidifying (meaning no tissue disease around them)
• liver lesion is decreasing in size dramatically, scar tissue is seen meaning the disease is no longer present (t)here.. She is still considered terminal ill – she is still on alectinib but she believes that it’s the natural therapies that she’s been pursuing that will save her life.

• Cancer markers have dropped from 211 to 24
  • liver lesion is practically gone
  • kidney function now normal
  • inflammatory markers dropped dramatically
  • no blood flow to lung tumour
  • WBC is up
  • Vit D is up
  • HB is on point

2020


2021 - Not a lot of post for 2021 Sold apartment and bought a new house. Got a puppy. Expanded her business. Remained cancer free. In January 2021, at one of her regular hospital appts, she asked the oncologist what she could do to dissuade her cancer from coming back – he said “keep taking our targeted therapy meds and don’t smoke”. When she asked about diet, CBD & THC he responded that there was no scientific evidence that they assist in fighting cancer. She also asked him if her cancer would return and they (eventually) said 100% yes. She says she asked it because she needed a kick up her arse to get back on to her regimen. She’s going to prove him wrong. 2021 is pretty uneventful, with her getting regular PET scans, taking her alectinib and remaining in NED.
2022 - She kicks off 2022 with a visit to Hope 4 Cancer (her 6th visit) for a week of maintenance. Results from her tests at H4C show that cancer markers, liver function, RBC count are completely perfect; WBC count is on the low side (she blames this on her targeted therapy; she has heavy metal toxicity (how does she have heavy metal toxicity given all the detoxing that shes been doing over the last 4 years???), parasites and anemia. In April, she opts out of all further oncology appts at the hospital inc medications and PET scans. In comments on her IG post, she says that she has stopped alectinib.

• I juice daily.
  • I exercise daily.
  • I wake at 6am and rarely stay up past 9.30pm.
  • I eat organically and predominantly vegan at home.
  • I'm planning full blood tests - every 3 months.
  • I have IV's at home once a month;{Vit C, glutathione, Magnesium, Vit B's} - I use a mobile nurse called Kate 0406 956 251 who'll happily do home visits on The GC.

2023 - Early July 2023 she had coughed up a bit of blood.Her friend, Dr Olivia Lesslar refers her to a private radiology clinic – mermaid beach radiology – and then she or Prof Pete read the scans and tells Kate the news. She has cancer in both lungs, plus brain (in excess of 10 -12) and liver. She was then recommended to a new oncologist – James Fletcher – who put her on alectinib and steroids. Heads back to H4C - her 7th visit - for 8 weeks. A week into her visit, she is not sleeping and concludes (with H4C staff) that it’s the steroids (that were prescribed in Australia to reduce the swelling around the brain tumour). She stops them. (in March 24, in comments on an IG posts, she implies that she thinks the recurrence of her cancer was because of the Covid 19 Vaccine)

3 weeks after diagnosis; after 3 weeks on alectinib, and one week at the clinic - Blood work results - her WBC, RBC and liver function are perfectly normal; Cancer markers – really bloody good. According to Kate, this is all down to H4C. Her veins are collapsing again, so she needs to get a port at a public hospital in Cancun (does it not raise red flag that the clinic she attends is unable to do minor surgical procedures???). By mid august 9 or her 10 brain tunours are no longer detectable by ultrasound (as an aside, Chat GPT says that ultrasound alone would not be able to detect, diagnose, or monitor brain tumors, especially metastatic CNS lesions from T4NxM1c (Stage IVB) ALK+ lung adenocarcinoma. Brain tumors—particularly metastases from lung cancer—require MRI (preferably with contrast) or PET-CT for proper detection and monitoring.)

In September, 2023 she heads back to Australia after 8 weeks at H4C - their tests show that there are no lesions in liver; lung lesion reduced; only one lesion in the brain. Tumour markers are all completely normal – meaning there are potentially no cancer in her body but she will need these tests confirmed with MRI and PET scan in Australia.

In early Sept, (approx 5th) IG content creator Pablo, includes her in an exposes series, pointing out how much money she is making from her cancer story, and includes links to a mycause/gofundme style account that has been set up for her. The fund raising account is closed down a week later.

In October she has a brain MRI and a chest and abdomen CT at mermaid beach radiography - she has NED (no evidence of disease). Scar tissue or possibly necrotic was found but no cancer. **A PETs scan needs to be performed to confirm NED. Radiologist said that its looks like necrotic tissue where the brain tumour was – did she have radiation?

In late October, she has an appointment with her new Oncologist who wasn’t as positive as she would have liked …. They discussed that the targeted therapy drugs will at some point stop working, that at the stage she will get cancer progression but that there are other drugs that she can take – a healthy dose of realism. He was not interested in hearing about her Mexican treatments. Asked Mexico Dr if, now that she is on NED is she still needed to be as strict on her protocol and she was told yes; at least until the end of the year when she returns to Mexico for her follow up. STILL NO EVIDENCE THAT SHE HAS HAD A PET SCAN TO CONFIRM NED

In Dec 2023 she heads back to H4C for a weeks maintenance visit (8th visit - a freebie; inc in the price of every three week treatment plan is a 3 day follow up in 3 months time in addition to three months worth of take home supplements, IV liquids etc). Dr Olivia goes with her, and despite not having cancer herself, she partakes in some IV infusions and other treatments "Out of professional curiosity".


2024 - In 2024 she fractures her foot and breaks two fingers (or a knuckle?) in two separate accidents; heads back to H4C for a gifted week in June (her 9th visit) ; continues getting regular "gifted" MRI's and CTs at Mermaid Beach Radiology along with blood tests (assume that these are with an oncologist so that she can get her alectinib script refilled every 12 weeks), but does not appear to have had a PET yet to confirm NED. In August, she sells her holiday home at Hastings Point; at some point over the last two years she has closed the Brickworks branch of her homewares store, so just has the one location at Burleigh.

At the end of August, she sends a blood test off to a company in Germany who measure Circulating Tumour Cells (CTC's) - I think that she does this in lieu of a PET scan? She's expecting it to come back at 0, and her results are 50 (which is the high end for low range level/low end for mid range levels). She confirms in comments that she is still on alectinib (8 tablets per day) and that she has some ivermectin coming in the mail. She says that she needs to redo the test in three months - she either never does OR keeps the results private.

In Oct 2024, she goes to Bali and on her return, develops pneumonia caused by pseudomonas plus rhino virus. She is taken by ambulance to intensive care and is in ICU for 4 days. She is put on put on antibiotics, adrenaline, blood thinners and pain killers. Her veins have collapsed, so a cannula is inserted (she still has a porta catch but that is not used for her IV's while in hospital??)

She discharges herself a day earlier than the medical staff would have advised and claims that while the antibiotics were life saving, they’ve pushed her health backwards by weakening her immune system, decreasing her mineral absorption and depleted her good probiotics.

In Dec 2024 - she has another gifted scan from Mermaid Beach Radiology , that shows she is "cancer free" but also shows a cavity in her lung from the pneumonia. To heal it, she nebulises PRP, because she read a paper about it that someone directed her to. In two weeks, the cavity is gone


2025 - On 14th Jan 2025, she heads back to H4C for another gifted week of treatment. She hope to go there every six months for maintenance; the owner tells her that she can push that out to every 9 - 12 months. Her “markers” are all in perfect range, but has some inflammation, elevated liver enzymes and anaemia – that she blames on the antibiotics but she’s been anaemic for months. Didn’t say anything about scans this trip. She's back in Australia by the 24th Jan, where she has “picked up some germs on the plane”. Has a chesty cough and a banging headache. She has been very quiet on IG ever since.

Feet started getting really sore – got prescribed painkillers. Went back to get a script and had a slight pain in the chest – was sent off for lung Xray sans then a CT scan and diagnosis came back as Stage 4 terminal Lung Cancer that’s in the Liver, lymph nodes, ribs, hips, shoulders, spine
• Says that parent flew from England after her diagnosis (but in a Nov 2018 IG post she says that her Mum and Stepdad arrived on the day of her diagnosis)

• Bumped into a friend of a friend who told her about Hope for Cancer in Mexico. Went to see a naturopath (who studies oncology) who also mentioned H4C. (I’m sure that she’s said since that it was a “medic at the hospital” who told her about H4C)
• 3 weeks program that’s $65k
• Within 3 weeks of being in Mexico the lung tumour had been reduced by 75%; she entered the clinic with 7 cancerous lymph nodes in her throat, after three weeks, 6 had disappeared (She later changes her language here to call them Suspected cancerous lymph nodes) By the time she had her first scan when she returned to Australia, there was no cancer in her lymph nodes.
• At her first scan back in Australia, the Dr said “wow. This is remarkable.” The Drs put it down to the targeted therapy that they have her own but, according to her, they also said wink/wink/nudge/nudge“ continue whatever you are doing”
• Interviewer asks her to be clear about the use of her prescribed medication = which she admits to – but says “I do a whole protocol of medicine, supplements, two different treatments every day ….. I do colonics every week, I do coffee enemas every day; I do four different injections every day…. I take about 20 different supplements, medications and medications, I do juicing , I do infra red saunas, I do full body hyperthermia, I do CBD, I do THC, I’m also on a dog worming protocol which is a blocker for cancer cells … throw it in the pot, and do the lot.
• “I don’t know what’s working and what’s not, but something is, so I’m going to keep doing the whole damn lot”
• The week after this interview, she was going to LA to do some TV interviews because people had jumped on her story. One with Good Morning LaLa Land in LA and another couple of interviews as a result of hooking up with a PR lady

• One year after her initial diagnosis, she’s never looked or felt healthier and has so much energy
• All because she’s running a low tox life – daily Vit C and curcumin infusions – no chemicals in her house. Eats organic and vegan.
• Doesn’t like the word Cancer ; sees herself as a cancer fighter
• Stays positive by being ignorant about cancer – she knows nothing about it, doesn’t ant to talk to people about it, doesn’t want to attend galas or fundraisers (maybe because she doesn’t want people to question or scrutinise her too closely about her cancer? Also means that if people ask her questions that she doesn’t want to, she can throw her hands up in the air and pleas ignorance)
• “I don’t want to know about cancer, I just want to know how to fight it”
• H4C’s aim is to strengthen your immune system to fight the cancer. There’s a lot of “emotional therapy” – my story with losing my husband to a drug addiction; they say that you hold your grief in your lungs so her I am diagnosed with terminal lung cancer [because] I’ve held that all in , that grief and sorrow and sad and anger and resentment – and it bounced around my body like a ping pong ball – so now for me to move forward, I have to heal from that. ….. most people with cancer, something tragic did happen.
• At the time of the interview, she had already done 3 rounds (of 3 weeks) at H4C – 3 x $65 = $195k; and was about to go back for a fourth round at the expense of H4C (she’d been “very, very, very privileged to be invited back to do a 4th round”) because she’s been advocating for them for a long time…. They can see how much she is “preaching about them and telling everyone about this clinic…. She responds to 20 – 30 messages a day and she directs them all to H4C”
• Someone told her that “her story smells like Belle Gibson” …. Her response was “hang on; I’ve been completely true and open from the very start, you can see… but a lot of people are very frightened about alternative therapies,.. a lot of people have lost someone to cancer, and they are very angry… and then they see someone winning the fight and they get a bit angry about that”
• Her followers are her Wolfpack, and they are phenomenal and they have her back and they step in and defend her whenever any naysayers appear.
• Started her IG because everyone in Burleigh found out about her cancer.
• Her port (which she has at this point) and her IV’s that she runs at home, are “not legal” she’s not meant to have them/be doing them.
• She’s invested in a medicinal cannabis company CDA Cannabis Doctors Australia … she’s the first person to be prescribed crystal cannabis, a very pure form, with no THC that she can vape 4 x day .According to Kate “it is know to assist with cancer, it fights cancer cells, to stop the cancer from growing; and she takes it for pain (because she is in a lot of pain); “The cure for cancer was found 85 years ago and its CBD”. . Plus she takes THC at night
• Full body hyperthermia that raises your body temp to 41 degrees C because it “kills cancer cells”; she does if for two hours and has to have sedation. Cancer is a cold disease and heat kills it “.
• Her life insurance – so not just her super; she had her life insurance paid out – and that’s allowed her to pay off her apartment (as well as buy – and now sell at significant profit – her beach house/investment property at Hastings Point)
• The power of positive mindset is everything and the staff at H4C always tell her that sh has the positivity that they have been trying to teach for 20 years …. “Cancer is not going to get me”
• What has surprised her the most “ The support. The encouragement . The gifts that we’ve been sent from around the world .. from people that we’ve never met”
• She’s been raising funds and doing charity work to help others to get to H4C – she’s raised over $10,000 but “unfortunately the taxman is onto it now” because she ran it through her business. In 2020 she’ll be setting up a NFP for giving back.. She’s hosted talk nights at her shop for people with cancer who want to reach out;
• Regrets having done the palliative radiation as she doesn’t think that it did anything and it made her very, very sick
• Says that prior to her diagnosis she got to the point that she couldn’t walk so she went looking to buy a segway (as didn’t want to be in a wheelchair).
• She’s become friends with the owners (husband and wife team) of H4C, and is travelling to Morocco with the wife in 2020.

• Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy - “cancer hates oxygen” 16/10/18
• Full body hyperthermia – induces a fever which starts to attack/kill oof the cancer (2/11/18)
• Colon hydrotherapy – designed to cleanse the colon and in turn remove masses of toxins and bateria from the body while boosting energy (17/2/19)
• CBD (Cannabidiol) is now known to slow the growth and even kill off cancer cells. Vapes it 4 x day plus CBD oil and smokes marijuana occasionally. 21/2/19; 8/4/19; 17/4/19
• PDT – PLUS laser watch – she takes an oral sensitiser, then 30 mins later applies the watch to her inner wrist, plus a bad to her back and a spectrum of red, blue, green, yellow and UV lights are delivered through her veins. .. these lights are drawn to the sensitiser which has already flagged the cancerous areas. • Photodynamic therapy – PDT – “Photodynamic Therapy {PDT}. A photosensitizing agent is injected into the bloodstream and is absorbed into the body. (This agent stays in cancer cells longer than it does in normal cells) so when most of the agent has left normal cells but remains in cancer cells, the tumor is exposed to light. The photosensitizer in the tumor absorbs the light and produces an active form of oxygen that destroys nearby cancer cells. In addition to this, the photosensitizer, can damage blood vessels in the tumor encouraging them to shrink & breakdown. PDT will also activate the immune system to attack the tumor cells”29/10/19

Went to H4C July/Aug 2019; Died October 2020 apparently kates necklaces raised $4500 for her treatment in Cancun. Despite scans at the clinic in mid August saying her cancer was improving, by Oct scans in Australia showed it was worse and she started on chemo

Who is Olivia Lesslar - I believe she's qualified in Australia, but lives/works in the UK. Her extremely word salad-heavy bio is here: https://www.drolivialesslar.com/about and some of the UK clinics are referenced.

She clearly only works with private clinics, so she's not working for the UK National Health Service. Interestingly, she does not specifically mention her links to H4C, but there are pictures of her with Dr Tony and on the H4C IG.

Dr Olivia works with innovative clinics and organisations worldwide. The major cities she works in are LA, London and Sydney. Her coordinating clinic is Cingulum Health - a neuro centre founded by renowned neurosurgeon Professor Charles Teo. She curates personalised programs of synergistic adjuncts for neuroplasticity including transcranial magnetic stimulation, hyperbaric oxygen, photobiomodulation, PEMF, breathwork, physical rehab, dietary experiments with the gut-brain axis sin mind eg: keto, paleo and AIP, supplements, and nootropic peptides.

Dr Olivia is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer with The National Centre for Neuroimmunology and Emerging Diseases, a world-class research facility focusing on mechanisms of ME/CFS and long covid.

She splits her residency between London and the Gold Coast (Australia), and attends at least 20 conferences a year to keep abreast with advancements in medical theory and interventions. She has a burgeoning interest in Quantum Medicine and Consciousness
