That whole post is confusing to me. We saw her “indulge” in quite a bit of Italian food. The thing was that she was vegan, so she wouldn’t allow herself to have cacio e pepe and gelato.

Back during quarantine, Zoey released some videos about "Why I'm Still Single" talking about how she has all these "stories" in her mind about why she can't date someone... maybe that's true, but if her video from 4 years ago is still indicative of her attitudes towards dating, it's pretty obvious why she's single (apart from scaring guys away by talking about batshit crazy woo woo conspiracies).
She says she expects a guy to text her THE DAY AFTER the date and if not, she immediately loses interest. She gave some Italian guy the cold shoulder because he waited a few days to text her...
When Sofie announced she was pregnant a month ago Zoey congratulated her and Sofie replied back Zia Zo.What's Zoey been up to? I noticed she hasn't commented "congrats" to Sofie at all on IG from what I've seen. I might have missed it under a random post, but under the specific "baby" ones, nothing. Hmmm.

I still wonder what happened between her and Anastasiya. They were so close and then six months after Zoey left Italy they unfollowed each other and that was it. Who does she really even still talk to other than Sofie? Maybe she and Cheryl will have a short meet up but after she left Italy it’s like she cut off everyone other than a select few people.
Yeah her lips do look different. I wonder if, with all of the weight loss, she had some filler injected in one of her many spa visits. She has discussed how she works 2 days a week and it seems like the rest of her time is spent going to spas and doing healing/cleansing/plant medicine ceremonies. I definitely agree with the poster above who stated that it seems like she must have already come from some money.

Yeah, Lauren was a big influence on her going down the pipeline. Zoey has even talked in a few podcasts (she made guest appearances) about how Lo was the one who suggested she attend the Landmark Forum back in 2018 in London. Zoey made a short London vlog because when you do the Forum you basically stay in it almost all day and they do weird stuff like break you down in front of everyone. Then it turns into a kind of pyramid scheme where you are “encouraged” to recruit more people into the program. Clearly Zoey didn’t have a great experience because she has never talked at length about it, if I remember in the podcasts she kinda said something to the ends of: “I didn’t get as much out of it as other people”, but what was really important for her was that in attending Landmark she got introduced to ayahuasca.
Pretty sure Lo also got Zo onto the Joe Dispenza bandwagon which, as we know, is who they ripped off to make their Quantum Creators Course.

But she came to Italy as an au pair, which meant that she was making some money and had a place to stay.
She’s being purposefully misleading by acting like she quit her job, was able to move to Italy on a whim (when she was there on a work visa) and automatically started making money as a creator and was able to live in the country because she had a small YouTube following.

It always boggled my mind how she was able to afford her lifestyle in Italy. She admitted several times that she did not go to Italy with any significant amount of savings, because she decided very quickly to go for the working holiday visa. She has talked about how she worked long days at the office, her boss was mean to her, and one day cried to her parents about wanting to quit her job and buy a ticket to Italy. Moving to Italy was supposedly in her sights ever since she returned from her first "Euro trip" during high school, but she didn't actually save or do any planning for it...
Until she got upset about her "stressful" job and decided to get the working holiday visa.
I don't think you get paid that much to be an au pair, and yes, you can find affordable flights all over Europe. Maybe she saved up some money she made freelancing. But after her visa was up and she went for the language school visa? She said herself the visa cost $7,500 and then she was paying like $1500 per month to live in that one-bedroom apartment with Anastasia in the center of Rome.
This manifestation nonsense has always bothered me because it doesn't take into account the privilege that she has. We are not all on an equal playing field, so we can't all quit our jobs to be "laptop entrepreneurs". She has had an incredibly easy life, her relationship with her mother and abusive ex aside.
And basically, ever since she started life coaching, she has made most of her money teaching people how to make money. It's what you see with a lot of these "hustle"-minded entrepreneurs. They act like they constructed an empire from the ground up, but why should we believe they have the secret to making money if they started off with wealth and privilege already?

Yeah I was cringing. Not only her listening to it, but linking to it as well in the description.
Recently Zoey announced that her and her business partner are launching a clothing line (which is also a podcast and a “movement”?) in Bali and I wonder if Sofie will manage to get the new business involved with Sunday Riley as well (like she did for an Italian company that makes embroidered beach bags).
I don’t know what it is that brings them so close together, when Zoey in the past has made it clear she has no problem dumping friends who she thinks are “using her” for her YouTube audience. Now that her channel is abandoned, that’s not really an excuse anymore if she takes issue with her friends.
Unfortunately Sofie buys into the “manifestation” stuff too much to find issue with it. She even talked recently about how she’s manifested so much (and worked hard, but still, *manifested*) into her life so she’s really not that privileged.
If she just scrapped the manifestation stuff it would be for the better. Because try as some people might to “think positive” they will never escape their circumstances. The way people say that you can do anything by just willing it to happen is just brushing over the fact that there are external factors to why people struggle and suffer in this world: sociological issues, environmental issues, political issues.
Y’know, real problems that we need to find solutions to and not just pretend they don’t exist because an influencer magically had an all-inclusive Maldives honeymoon fall into their lap.

She definitely had a falling out with Anastasiya sometime after moving back to Canada, and she (is this the right word to use here?) vagueposted as such in an entire video called "How to leave inauthentic relationships". She claims to have been used for her audience.
Zoey made a similar claim when she was still in her Rome days, and I know that it was about Itallish (aka Coral and Riccardo). She talked about collabing with people who were, in the end, only out to get clout from her audience. Like her channel gaining just under 60k subscribers since 2018 is really a thriving channel...
Anyway, Zoey was close with Coral and Riccardo and even attended their wedding. I've talked to them in the past on IG, talking about our experiences learning Italian and being in international relationships, and I passed along some resources to help Coral out. When I asked if they would collab with Zoey again in the future, they said that she basically ghosted them and they had no idea why she dropped out of their lives.
That doesn't sound to me like a "toxic friendship", and I don't understand why she feels the need to lie that people are just using her.
It's giving very illusions of grandeur.
Oh, and I should also point out that as far as QAnon stuff goes, I think Aaron Doughty was a big influence on Zoey in this kind of stuff. Her content around summer of 2020 I think was a lot of her talking in front of a whiteboard, which Aaron does.
Then she had him on the podcast she hosts with Lauren Saunders, The Lo and Zo Show.
When he was a guest he was saying "I'm not denying COVID is real, BUT the media is exaggerating the numbers and they say masks aren't really that effective. They were faking hospitals being full in Italy. It's obvious to me that there's some kind of agenda there. People are easier to control when they are separated by fear"
He goes on to say "The media is controlled by six major corporations... There's an old power dynamic of people who I believe have had control for a very long period of time." Just come out and say it's the Jews, already, we all know that that kind of language is just walking on eggshells around your antisemitism... From there he complains about taxes being high, he doesn't believe that taxes are actually funding public works (probably thinks they're being used to cover up aliens, another thing he touches on). This guy is batshit crazy, a literal conspiracy theorist and science denier, NO WONDER WHY he's basically one of Zoey's idols.
