It always pops up on my app!I didn’t even know thisI don’t have a laptop or desktop so that’s probably why!
So YouTube is free. They do have a subscription service to stop adverts & play music without interruptions and you can save music (like Spotify/Apple Music) the pop up is just advertising this to you, if you ignore you can still watch videos as normal, the subscription is optional and won't interrupt you watching videos as you normally wouldI would try and show you, but i dont know how to do it. xx Ive have somehow got a youtube account, and on the grid looking thing it says youtube music and a library comes up. I dont want to keep mithering you, so thank you for your help. My husband is working with some twenty year olds today so he will ask them. They are always laughing at us anyway !! xx
Its not asking me for details and i have ignored the free trial, but it still plays ? xx This spotify thing , thats definitely free is it ? I dont care about ads. xx
That doesn’t sound like youtube, youtube is just a website or an app on your phone so it shouldn’t put anything on your desktop like that. You may have accidentally downloaded something. You won’t be able to store anything off youtube, you can only watch the videos on the website itselfSorry to ask again, but a red screen came up and went to my desktop and it said i could choose loads of albums and store them, is that right. I was scared of it ? xx
Aw thank you, yes that's me that feeds the feral catsNo we havent. Until last year we still had a really old little tv, But a nice friend gave us a sony bravia for free. I can watch on my laptop, we have been very late in joining the modern world, we have only had the internet for 2 years ! I like the hotel inspector i didnt realise how much you can watch on there ! You are that nice lady who helps cats. I saw it on a thread once. Thanks again xx
I didn’t even know thisIt sounds like that's YouTube premium, just stops ads and so on. You can still listen to music normallyit will pop up every now and then
On you tube you can save to 'watch later' ans create playlists.Sorry to ask again, but a red screen came up and went to my desktop and it said i could choose loads of albums and store them, is that right. I was scared of it ? xx
Youtube has an app called Youtube Music for streaming... it replaced Google play. I am not sure if it can be used for free though. https://music.youtube.com/That doesn’t sound like youtube, youtube is just a website or an app on your phone so it shouldn’t put anything on your desktop like that. That's okay! And yes Spotify is free, you will just have to listen to ads. It's only worth buying if you listen to music all the time and on the go. I have a music app called Deezer for £10 a month but I listen to it everyday on my way to & from work, at home cleaning and so on but if you don't use it that often I wouldn't worry, stick to free YouTube!Thank you everybody xx
If you didn’t give it your card details, you’ll be fineok thanks, its hard because we would usually get a younger person to physically show us !! we are thick. Thanks you have been brilliant xx I might look at that spotify if its free with ads we just want something for a sat night with a wine xx
Thank you so much, i think i understand it a bit now xxYou are not thick, just trying to understand something that you haven't dealt with before - its perfectly ok not to know somethingI remember when I first got the internet back in 2004 - I had no clue how to setup email and ended upon some Irish American talk forum (which I became fascinated with because I couldn't get my head round how I could talk to someone so far away and have them reply within seconds!) I hope you get the help for youtube, you can find videos on every subject under the sun there, not just music.
