How are you all staying so put together?! I'm going to bed with wet hair, I cannot face the hairdryer tonight 🥵 haven't done this since I was a kid!

I am not 😂

And like an absolute lunatic I spent the last few days gardening and looking like worzel gummage.

Wow! I went out for an hour to do some sweeping up and attack the moss with a gadget.
I managed an hour and had to come in and lie down before I blacked out.
Today was a cooler day, so I've no idea how you managed a few days of outside work.
Mind you my garden is south facing.🥵

I've been attempting to embrace the wavy hair methods, again. Mixed results thus far, but no hairdrying, so that's a win lol

Can anyone recommend any makeup classes/tutorials where I can learn how to properly apply the makeup that suits me best? I really could do with some professional advice!

My hair looks like I've had a perm. When I was younger it was more straight.
No idea how that happened.🤷‍♀️
The delights of hormonal changes! My hair has gone a little bit wavy after a lifetime of poker straight. It's a bit like when golden retrivers'coats go curly in later life.

Most makeup trends now are very natural looking so I’d look at beauty counters rather than classes.

In other news, I know she’s not well liked on here but recently Sali Hughes talked about the Mac Multisculpt liquid eyeshadows on one of her reels and I loved the look of them. I used her Cult Beauty code (rather use hers than Hirons and it’s 20% so not to be sniffed at).

I’m in love with them. I got two and will be buying more. They apply and blend so well for a natural looking eye that is flattering to older skin - I’m 50 next month and has staying power.

My nails have never been wonderful but 39 weeks pregnant and omg they’ve gone to complete tit - extremely peely/splitting all the time. After Mini Parsley makes her grand entrance has anyone got any advice for products to help strengthen them (vitamins, nail strengtheners etc)? With a 2 yo and a newborn I’m not gonna have masses of time but any recommendations would be amazing for when I do have the chance!

Any recommendations on hormonal acne? I’m 45 and a bit old now to be getting spots ! But ever since my 30 I get really bad spots on my chin - just my chin - they’re big and sore - is there anything out there that helps get rid and prevent this ?

Nailtiques. Expensive but bloody brilliant.

So a few months ago I stupidly tore off my BIAB! Anyway, my nails were dreadful - weak and peeling etc. I used the Sally Hansen Hard as Nails strengthener (I really rate all the Sally Hansen nail products) and then a nail cream from Mavala called Nailactan that I bought in John Lewis (which was expensive but I really like). My nails are in great shape now, thankfully.

There's a good chance that this is actually perioral dermatitis. I would suggest having a quick google. I really hope that it's this simple and you're able to find a solution. Big, sore spots are the worst.

Ladies! I lost the last thread but I'm back with two recently discovered recommendations!

I've been looking for a self setting but not drying, creaseless (or as creaseless) as possible concealer but unwilling to pay for Natasha Denona or Hourglass. I've FINALLY (after many, many false starts) found it - wet n wild incognito, available on amazon in various shades for under/around a fiver (dependent on shade)!

Another hunt I've been on is for a good cream or liquid bronzer, I have to wear a headset for work and bronze the edges of my face and am sick of ending up with bronzer on my headset rather than my face, I've tried endless combos of liquids, creams, powders and setting sprays.

Whilst on my concealer expedition, having found a few concealers that look great on the skin and last well because of the self drying but are rit under the eyes (too drying, pigment seperates, not enough coverage etc) and thought "hmm maybe this would work as a cream bronzer that actually stays on the skin..." so bought loreal skin ink in 318 and omg it's the best "liquid bronzer" i have ever used! Actually sticks to my skin, blends well, and doesn't budge! Highly recommend and it's also fairly cheap for how much you use, especially compared to some of the vvv pricey options I have that seem to disappear off my face before I've even finished doing my hair of a morning after my makeup (Chanel Les Beiges I'm looking at you!)
