Your favourite childhood Barbie?

With the barbie movie coming out, I’ve seen so many videos of people sharing their old collections which has bought back such nostalgic memories for me, and things I would never have remembered.

So in that spirit, do you remember what your favourite Barbie was as a child?

mine were these 2, I remember being obsessed with changing the dress from pink to all different colours 🥺

Great thread. I think I inherited this Barbie so I'm not sure of her name, she had a peach ballgown with a faux peal type of bodice.

You’ve just reminded me that I had a Blossom one. Completely forgot about it until seeing the pic!

I can’t remember having a favourite because I had loads of Barbie dolls but I really loved my Barbie house and camper van. I got these images from Google because I gave all my Barbie stuff to a younger cousin but wish I kept them now lol 🥲

Wow the nostalgia!!!!
I had both of these Barbies and I had completely forgotten about them.

These were the Barbies that I had and can remember really clearly -

Butterfly Art Barbie (1998) was the Barbie with crimped brown hair and was kinda beachy and came with tattoo stickers

Work out Barbie (1996) came with a tape with Barbie music

Jewel hair mermaid Barbie (1996) came with velvro-like hair stickers 🤣🤣🤣🤣

What a time 😅

I had the campervan!! Loved that it was so cool!

I don't remember the individual Barbies that I had sadly :( although I think they are probably still in storage in my parents house!

I had a few.

Even though I was not English, all of my dolls were white. I love that they do have a more diverse range now.

I remember this one with a shopping trolley.

Not Barbie but my father also bought me this Anastasia doll which had her locket.

I got these two for my 6th birthday. Have always been a huge animal lover so when I found out there was a vet Barbie 😍😍

Also this was my Barbie house. Loved that thing!

Has to be Ski fun Barbie (and Ken!) for me, it was 1990 i was 6 and the best ever Christmas when Father Christmas left me these beauties! The sight of that Chocolate shoppe still evokes the best memories, the little window you flipped and it become a little snow globe type window for a snow flurry, and could you get anymore 90s than this print on the slopes!🥰

I can’t remember a specific Barbie or doll, but a lot look very familiar here … (1970). I had a lovely nan, who would treat me to new outfits at the local toy shop (an Aladdin’s cave of delights). I can vividly remember the tiny shoes, the beautiful pink, and sparkly Lurex trim. The orange and pink mac on the second photo looks familiar ... it’s fascinating to look through all the old images.
