Hey everyone, I’m bringing up an old thread as I’ve read through and it’s really helped me!! I have an impacted wisdom tooth and also a decaying wisdom tooth, both top teeth. I didn’t go the dentist about the decaying tooth as I was so embarrassed, however when I did go I learnt it’s quite common due to position of the tooth!! Anyway, the dentist advised it’s ok to leave for now, however if it causes me any pain it’ll have to come out, along with the impacted one. It’s not causing me pain, just rubbing on my cheek where it’s quite sharp!
I am so scared of having it out under a local anaesthetic and if I have them done (which I think would be better before causing future issues) I would much prefer to have it done under a general. Those that had it done under a general anaesthetic, did you have to push for it or were they quite easy in giving it you that way? I’ve looked to go private but it’s £2.5k and I just can’t afford it with still being furloughed a year later

Thanks in advance if anyone helps!!! Xx
Edit: I had teeth out when I was a teenager and the local anaesthetic didn’t work, so I felt everything! I think that’s why I’m so scared to have the wisdom teeth out under local!
