I think I must be one of only a few people who actually likes Charles and Camilla. Shes his wife now so should be queen. Im not keen on the thought of anyone abdicating as ultimately they don't really have much power now anyway. I know all decisions from parliament must be signed off by the reigning monarch but no real power anymore

Charles should’ve been allowed to have a relationship with Camilla in the first place. It’s obvious she is the only woman he truly ever loved. She has received a lot of stick and handled it with grace and decorum, by largely ignoring it and working hard as a royal to engage with people on engagements and show people her true self. She should be Queen absolutely.

Are you joking? You can’t get moving in London for American tourists straining their necks trying to see the queen at Buckingham palace. Go to certain parts of America too where money is tight and you will be lucky if they have a tooth between them. Yeah I work in broadcast news and we practice it too. Last we year we ran through a whole news program with a fake name "Mr x" for Phillip (i actually forget what the name was ) but it even went as far as having reporters outside the palace and stuff onscreen like "Charles x is expected to make a statement from Clarence house shortly." There are also sporadic rumours that he is dead. He just turned 98 didnt he ? It can't be long

Her Majesty is a class act. There isn't, and will never be anyone like her again. It is quite sad to think about. Prince Charles will absolutely not abdict the throne. He has been in training since he was a teenager. He has waited his whole life for this. He will also be of the understanding that William and Kate are in the prime of their lives with three young children. It is known publically as William has stated it, that he doesn't even want to be King, but of course will do his duties when the time comes. I'm sure he wants this quality time with his children before having to dedicate the rest of his life to being the monarch. Charles isn't looking in good health, very red and ruddy with broken capillaries , swollen and bloated hands and sausage fingers. Looks like high blood pressure and perhaps coronary issues. He is known to enjoy a drink but is perhaps more of a secret drinker and it is showing. So, I doubt if he does reign it will be for long. I don't think he will reach his mother and fathers age anyway. The queen looks in better health than him. I do notice she has been having some ulcers on her legs. Very common at that age and of course she will have the best medical team to treat any issues but I hope she still has a few years yet. Philip, like others have said looks like a walking corpse. Seems a tough guy. My opinion of him dampened when I found out he had been having affairs whilst he was younger. Even the Queen can't escape the lows of a cheater.

Her coronation was like 18 months after she became queen but fair enough point still. It was late at night when i wrote that and I was half thinking she'd been queen since birth (!) Or confusing it with her age somehow. It's still a good portion of people anyway, plus many who were alive during her father's reign would be too young to remember much about it.
