I'm 21. I wouldn't say I feel old per se but I do feel worried about losing my childhood and sense of security. Everyone I know expects me to have a job, know what I want to do for the rest of my life, get a boyfriend now, stuff like that, and I find it all quite scary cos errrrm, no I don't. I have this realisation every now and then that OH tit I'M AN ADULT NOW. I don't feel it in any sense. LOL. People call me 'lady' in shops now. As in, 'get out of the way of that lady'. THAT makes me feel old.
This past twenty years have flown by. If the next twenty years go any quicker I'll be forty before I know it. WTAF? Lol!!!

I think age is a physical thing. My grandfather is in his eighties and very vulnerable so to me he is old. My nan, his wife, is ten years younger and I wouldn't consider her old. Because she is his carer and is very sprightly and up and at them. I think your own personal view of age and whether you feel old is psychological though. Like. I am disabled and probably a bit vulnerable, and I miss out on all the stupid little milestones other people my age have (going out, drinking, dating... just hasn't happened for me haha!) so I feel a bit.. behind, and younger?

(I just think all these age related milestones are stupid though.)

I'm 52, although everyone thinks I'm about 10 years younger (I have good genes!). I don't feel old, I feel wise and experienced, I feel confident in my beliefs and points of view and I feel appreciative of the life I have. My parents died less than 18 months apart and I had lost them both by the time I was 48 - that crystallised for me that life has an end date and I'd better appreciate the time I have, not fret over ageing - after all, there's only one alternative to ageing!

I’m 31 and in my head I’m still 21. At work in my office there’s a lot of new graduates who are 22/23ish and I always just assume I’m “one of them”... I don’t feel like I belong with the 30 somethings who are all married with kids. It’s slowly dawning on me that I’m that annoying woman who thinks she’s down with the kids and tries to hang out with them all the time. I think I’m one of them, they probably see me as a colleague but not a peer

oh and also when I realised that kids going to uni this year were BORN in like 2002.... I started my period in 2002 😅
this is literally me 🤣🤣 In my head in 21 but I’m actually 31 and all the new kids at work are like 22-25. I genuinly think I’m their age sometimes. It’s scary 😂

I was at a family party a few years back and I Got A Woman by Ray Charles came on, and the 14 year old I was chatting to (I’m 28) didn’t recognise that Gold Digger by Kanye West samples it. She didnt even know the Kanye song! I definitely felt old then!
