What to do on Boxing Day?

No different from any other day at home, eat, drink, puter, TV, mainly chillin.

We were due to go to my MIL’s for a steak pie dinner but since Scotland is in tier 4 from today she is boxing it up for us and we’ll collect it from the doorstep and bring it home to eat. We were at my parents yesterday for Christmas Day so will also be picking up / dropping off presents at my MIL’s.

On a normal year we would end up going round the shops for a nosey but I’m happy to stay home and online shop and eat crap.

I sometimes cook a load of dishes to be frozen with the leftovers e.g. Christmas soup (anything you can find blended), turkey and ham pie, turkey curry, macaroni cheese etc.

On Boxing Day normally I’d go into town and do a bit of clothes shopping, and then see family in the afternoon/evening. Some years I’ve been working. This year I’ve done nothing except eat, went for a very short walk but it was rainy and horrible. I feel so sedentary and bored honestly I feel for people on furlough!

Usually visiting family again. Drinking and eating together. We’re tier 2 but because of the Christmas bubble thing can’t really do that today. So weMre having a really lazy one. Films, food, a walk with the dog at some point.

A long walk, leftover roast and a pizza later on tonight. We’d normally have a full roast again today, but since it’s just the two of us that seems excessive.

We are usually up in Scotland at my MIL's so I would normally have a fairly lazy day, maybe pop out to local shops for a hour or so and then have a family dinner at SIL's (for years I used to get up early and go to Glasgow sales shopping but I stopped that a few years ago).

However this year we have stayed at home as per Nicola's instructions and I can't be bothered with the shops even though we're still in Tier 3 so in theory I could go sales shopping. I am currently browsing the 12 Days of Kindle sale while watching old episodes of TOWIE. I think I'll have a shower and haul myself out for a walk this morning and then spend the rest of the day just pottering around at home.

Normally i will either go to the sales with my mum or see other family members but due to some family and me having medical conditions and some family members are isolating due to this
this year I dropped off my brother and his wife and the kids gifts on their doorstep social distancing
And i also gave my mam, brother and foster brother gifts from a distance
I made croissants, pizza, pain au chocolates and ate a lot of junk hah
And i watched tv and exploring the firestick while building my bedside table i got off my brother and unpacked all my things and started to fold my socks and did some washing and cleaning

We’d normally be doing Christmas day 2. But we’re home this year so absolutely nothing. Putting together the presents from yesterday and watching films, eating and playing games.
