I work with a lot of posh clients! Here are some things I think make the super posh, posh. Like others have said it’s less to do with things they own but just how they act. Just in general being very well spoken, very very well mannered, polite and gracious.
- Private school/boarding school - bonus if it’s the same school that dad and grandfather went to
- Having a very grand family home/estate that’s passed down to the eldest son
- Also having a London family house/flat, usually South Ken or Marylebone area
- Artwork and jewellery being passed down
- Having a title
- Featuring in Debretts
- Skiing holidays, even better a chalet
- Several trust funds for the grandchildren
- Bright red/yellow trousers

we always joke the brighter the trouser the more land owned!
- ‘Old money’ clients I find are much more likely to make sizeable charitable donations compared to ‘new money’!! Old money also never quibble our fees but new money will
I don’t think having money/assets automatically makes you posh though, likewise having a title. I have come across plenty of posh clients who actually don’t have that much cash.
