What do you do with the "stuff" you buy abroad which you think you will use at home.

I have just been through my food store cupboard and have found so much out of date stuff I have bought on holiday etc which is still in there which should have been used by 2019 etc. The food bin is the heaviest it has been, it is embarrasing as I hate food waste.
Along with food why did I buy rice paper trays, noodle nets etc.
I have bought good things but why did I buy some of this I don't know.

I get that, there's only me and hubby, so I've been getting rid of so much stuff recently, we have no one to leave anything to, and tbh, alot of my stuff, is just that, only thing I worry about, apart from my hubby , is my dog.

Where did you get rid of the bread makers etc - I don't have a car to get to the skip so do you have a kerb side collection and if so will they take them?

My Dad gave me the bread maker after my Mum died, it seemed like a good idea at the time, in reality I used it once and it's been in the cupboard taking up space for over 8 years. Our local tip was closed due to council cuts. When out of the blue a work colleague mentioned he had missed out o. A bread maker on a local selling site. He happily accepted mine and I am happy not only to have the cupboard space back, but knowing it's being used a couple of times a week.

Gadgets and machines I haven't used, I ask friends and usually someone wants or needs something I've never made use of. Other stuff I bought abroad (spices, condiments etc.) used to take up shelves and shelves but I've taught myself to be realistic. If it's something that can be found at home (in shops or online) I don't drag it back. Anything that has expired gets binned, as upset as I might get when I think of the waste and the money but that taught me to shop better.

I'll break stuff down, my oh will then take them to dump. But if you have loads, I'd recommend a skip, we had one a few years ago, so satisfying to get rid of stuff, I have the attic to sort out , not looking forward to that!
