Just wondering what perfumes people love to wear! Share your favourites, and if possible, give a brief description of the scent for others who haven't tried it. :)

I use the good old cheapie 'Elizabeth Arden Green Tea' line. I was gifted a set a few years ago with 6 or 7 different bottles and I just switch between them (summer, yuzu, bamboo, fig...). The fig one works best on my skin. They're all very light, a little citrusy, and inoffensive so you don't have to worry about bothering coworkers. I'd call the whole range refreshing, with some being more citrus and others being more floral.

I'd love something aquatic/marine for the summer but I've yet to find any that work. The fragrances meant to be aquatic for women tend to lean very floral. I want something that is beachy/salty/clean not floral. The hunt continues...

Lancome Idole, just the best perfume ever, it's floral, quite a clean and fresh smell, the bottle is flat so fits nicely in small bags and it's a refillable bottle, so cheaper when u need to replace as refills are around £20 less than buying a new bottle.

For a clean fresh scent, I like dolce and gabbana light blue.

You might like Bobby Brown beach perfume or Armani's Aqua di Gioia.

New West by Aramis was very aquatic and loved it. It’s sadly been discontinued but read that Crabtree and Evelyn La Source is very similar so going to look for that for myself. 4711 is also lovely and fresh and really cheap from Amazon and Boots amongst others.

Thank you all for the aquatic recommendations! I'll see if I can find them and have a sniff. (y)

Actually, I haven't smelled any of the perfumes mentioned so far. I might have to get samples of them all! They sounds lovely. :)

I saw some bottles of Montblanc Lady Emblem the other day, and they were so pretty. I didn't get to take a sniff but I love when perfumes come in really nice bottles.

Lancome Hypnose is my all-time fave and signature scent
Nina by Nina Ricci
Gucci Guilty
Black Opium
Zara Flor de Azahar
Diesel Loverdose
Deseo by JLo but it's discontinued
Chic by Carolina Herrera, another old one, not seen it for years

I like either dark, licoricey/coffee perfumes for night, or citrusy/tropical fragrances for daytime. I used to love the limited edition fruity ones that Escada used to bring out in the brightly coloured bottles.

If anyone knows of any cheap dupes of these, let me know!

Calvin Klein's "Reveal" is very much salty/beachy. 👍

My favourite nighttime "going out" scent is Armani code but currently wearing Chanel Coco Madamoseille which is another fave.

For daytime, in mu humble opinion very little beats Sarah Jessica Parkers Lovely... Nice light fragrance that isn't too overpowering.

Tbh I just love perfumes, there are so many nice ones out there!

Revisted an oldie : Estee Lauder's 'Aliage', which i was so thrilled to take delivery of today! Its as beautiful as I remember. And all those precious memories of my first foreign holiday - Marbella, where I wore copious amounts of it, came flooding back!
