Hello everyone! Can I please have recommendations for wedding songs please?

To accommodate all ages, the more romantic the better!

Have a look on Spotify! You can get a free trial if you don’t have it already. There’s so many good wedding playlists for everything, that’s how I found mine! x

I don’t plan on getting married but I think I’d like Blame Jones’ cover of Love At First Sight orrrr Dido - Thank You.

Beyond - leon bridges and only wanna be with you by Samm Henshaw are my 2 songs I’d have as a first dance song! Also John mayers XO cover and Sam smiths acoustic version of latch are also beautiful!

for for specifically?

- first dance?

- walking into venue/leaving venue?

- party songs??

what age are the couple and what kind of music are they into generally?

Have a look at string quartet covers of your favourite songs - I walked down the aisle to a string quartet version of “The Only Exception” by Paramore which was a song that meant a lot to my husband and I from when we first started dating !

our first dance was “youre my best friend” by queen

Oh yeah, my reply was first dance I think. I’ve never been to a wedding so don’t know what happens when!

I walked down the aisle to Barry Lois Polisar - All I want is you

First dance was Bruno Mars - Your Amazing

We had a dj for the reception who played an amazing mix - most djs are amazing at finding the right music for rhe right time.

Before the ceremony, when people were waiting and during the meal we had a cd playing with
Edwin Mccain - I couldn't ask for more
Queen- your my best friend
The shrek version of I'm a believer
Mcfly - love is easy
Travis - happy

Is this for the reception/night time part?

If so got to have the cheesy ones to get everyone up on the floor. I hate posh stuck up weddings everyone should get stuck in on the dance floor!

Cha cha slide, oops up side your head, Saturday night - Whigfield , las ketchup, Amarillo - Tony Christie, come on Eileen, sweet Caroline, take me home country roads- John Denver, September- earth wind a fire, the whole Jackson 5 album, superman- black lace, cotton eyed joe, PITBULL, spice girls, baby shark for the kids. Get everyone up on that floor!!!

I actually cannot remember certain songs from points of our wedding, however our first dance was “Can’t take my eyes off you” frankie valli & the four tops.
Almost Everyone knows it and highly encourage everyone of all ages to join in, for example tell the bridesmaids to grab some dance partners so you don’t feel like a plum if the husband hates dancing- like mine!
(If that’s what would be liked of course!)

Kodaline- The One is also a very nice song!

I walked down the aisle to Feels Like Home by Edwina Hayes and we signed the register to The Wonder of You by Elvis.

We had our first dance to You Light My Life by Debbie Boone - we used to go to dance lessons and we did a Waltz to that then straight into My First My Last My Everything by Barry Whyte.

The rest we just left up to the DJ with the exception of songs we didn’t want played. If I hear ‘I Gotta Feeling’ by the Black Eyed Peas or ‘Dancing Queen’ by ABBA at a party, I want to punch myself in the face. Night time we wanted floor fillers (apart from those 🤮)

It’s quite a personal process though, the songs we picked had meaning for us - it was our special day so the guests had to endure it whether they liked them or not! If I was you, I would encourage them to go with songs or music special to them

We’re starting to wedding plan at the moment, and our current first dance is you and me by you+me (a duo of Dallas green and pink).

I will walk down the aisle to a string Instrumental of diamonds by Rhianna
