It’s been brilliant for us, I love not having to take anything and it’s also less messy 💦 now 😂 x
Less messy? My wifes only complaint is that its MORE messy in one regard as its not 'contained' anymore. 😅

My husband had one a couple of years ago. I actually got the afternoon off for it, manager said "go, go, go. If you're off for a year I will die" 😂😂
He had to stay in bed for at least 24 hours and had to avoid squashing them for 3 days.
He was concerned about the recovery even though it was boringly normal. I might have pointed out that I had 52 stitches after I gave birth to our first child, he had no time off, and I was now taking breaks from work to dispense sandwiches and soup to his death bed, so he wasn't too badly off. 😉
It all went absolutely fine, the odd twinge for a couple of weeks after but nothing scary.
The sample came back clear on the first test and sex is exactly as it was before.
It absolutely was the right thing for us. We have 3 beautiful children who we enjoy giving all our time (and money) to, and now we can enjoy sex without the worry of our resources being stretched to breaking point.
He is really glad he had it done, it's not just me saying it.
Good luck with it all.

When my ex had his we found it very liberating and it definitely renewed a spark between us - was all good

I'm not sure! Just the finality of it and things being different I think. We're definitely done with kids though so I'm just being stupid!
I can completely see where you are coming from and I feel the same. Our third child was born at the start of the year and even though I know that a fourth would destroy us - financially and mentally! - the thought of that being completely off the table is really sad to me!

We found that too as sex was now purely for pleasure with the procreation aspect to the act completely removed from the equation. Certainly brought back the spontaneous unplanned sessions without the need to worry about protection etc. My wife certainly enjoys the new found freedom.

There is an element of sadness that its so final and there will be no more babies but at the same time we wouldnt have coped with another child either from a financial and mental standpoint and my wife said her body certainly wouldnt physically cope with another either so it was the best solution for us both.

Thanks everyone. Tomorrow is v-day and reading through all of your comments has really helped me see reason rather than emotion.

Morning! He seems to be ok today. We're both still agreed that it was the right thing to do and I'm making him rest as much as possible.
