I don’t think we’ve “done” anything on Valentine’s Day since our first year of dating 😂 It’s just an excuse for shops and restaurants to make money!
I think this year it’s nice to have something to look forward to

I’ve just been sat this evening thinking of what we can do!
The following week is my birthday so we never normally celebrate but I’m celebrating everything I can this year

I must admit we don’t usually bother, every day is Valentine’s Day with the right person, we’ve been together 17 years this year so must be doing something right 😊 Like a lot of people this year we’re celebrating everything. We have a place local to us that do amazing filled bagels, doughnuts and brownies so we’re going to go for a nice walk, pick up our goodies and then eat them whilst watching a film. I’m really looking forward to it, something to break up the monotony of lockdown.

Normally we would just go out for a meal and then the pub! or book a wee trip somewhere. Which we can't this year so it will just be a nice meal in the house and a few drinks.. I am currently making him a scrap book of all our memories over the past 3 years though, i think its actually more for me but I am really enjoying it, going through hundred's of photo's, plane tickets, themepark tickets, wee things i have picked up on our trips etc.. It seems so cheesy i know!!

Like everyone at the moment, myself and my partner had a low key Valentines planned with just a movie, takeaway and many bottles of wine put aside for the evening and the inevitable regret of it falling on a Sunday and us not feeling great on the Monday.

However she had been talking online to some friends late last year and they were all bored of the lockdowns and all feeling pretty low and depressed and one of the girls said they had setup a community account and was posting on the LoveHoney Community Forums to keep herself sane and as there wasnt much else to do in lockdown she had been buying things and doing some reviews for fun and ended up being sent some things from her wishlist by them in the end.

So they all decided to do it to break up the monotony and give them something to talk about. So they all started doing the odd review here and there for things they had purchased on the off chance that they might be picked to be sent something at some point in the future.

Just so happened by sheer chance my partner had been reviewing things and wishlisting some things we couldnt afford here and there while she was bored and she actually received an email to say she had been picked to be sent some stuff. The bonus was that it was right before Valentines Day which completely changed our evening plans for the better thats for sure. 🙌🥵
