Valentine's Day in Lockdown

Any suggestions of what to do for a Valentine's Day date in Lockdown? I can see my partner so it won't have to be a virtual date thankfully.

Please don't @ me if you think Valentine's is a money racket or load of tit! Honestly I'm just looking for something to look forward to and plan in these tit times!

I’ve ordered myself some whiskey from Harvey Nics. Is there something food or drink wise your Valentine likes but is normally too expensive/indulgent?

Oh these are great ideas!! Problem with the 3 course meal is I will have to cook it 😂 But I'm defo going to dress nice. I was tempted to do our room like a hotel and leave the check in info and the white slippers

I rarely eat out on VD - far too expensive, and just doesn't "feel" romantic enough for my tastes.

So assuming my partner will be popping over on that weekend I will make her favourite meal Thai red chicken curry with basmati rice, and loads of jalapenos and peppers, followed by pistachio and mango ice cream

We ordered a 3 course meal from Cote Brasserie for New Year’s Eve and it was so nice that we’re going to do it again for Valentine’s Day! Although it technically is still cooking, everything comes prepared and ready to cook so all you have to do it put it in the oven and then serve it up. The food was lovely!

We’ve ordered a 3 course “finish at home” meal from a London restaurant, and have got a pottery class at home thing

I’m not personally a fan of three course meals on Valentine’s Day purely because I don’t wanna be full for having sex afterwards 😂😂 you could get some chocolate dipped strawberries or make them yourself easy enough to do. A candle lit meal , champagne. Any film really doesn’t have to be a romantic one. I love Valentine’s Day and all that cheesy shite ❤❤also I got a really nice baby doll ( I don’t know why they are called that) from Ann summers in the sale which went down a treat with my OH the other week🙂😂

We've got loads of independent restaurants here that could do with the business so we're going to see if any of them are doing a delivery offer of some sort. Haven't thought past food yet - typical me!

I don’t think we’ve “done” anything on Valentine’s Day since our first year of dating 😂 It’s just an excuse for shops and restaurants to make money!

We don't normally do anything but this year we're celebrating everything!
The Friday is Chinese New year so were having Chinese from asda for that, the Saturday is our sons birthday so what ever he chooses then valentines day, were going to get a meal deal from somewhere. Basically the weekend evolves around food 😋 I'm not buying him a pressie though, I'm his pressie. He can have the good sex that night haha

Ooh I hadn’t even thought about it as I’m usually always away at a trade show with work and go out for a meal with my bosses from work who are both late 50s blokes so it just looks like such a weird Valentines situation 😂😂 (I’m a 28 year old female) 😂

My boyfriend and I never celebrate on the actual day because of this and make up for it when I’m back, I normally just cook us a meal at home tbh cos I get sick of eating out working away, we always get each other a card though and I take mine away with me to open. I shall look forward to opening our cards together and I will cook us a nice tea, will have a few drinks if my bf isn’t up insanely early for work the next day 😊

We usually just use Valentines Day as an excuse for a meal and some drinks so not too different this year, only we can't go out. We're ordering one of those cook at home menus from a local, very nice asian restaurant.
