Honestly, the sexual chemistry between these two is off the charts. Usha is a lucky, lucky woman.

I didn't know that the Reflecting Pool was supposed to be ready for the July 4 2026 but that's makes sense.
A fence is going up around the Reflecting Pool so they can do repairs.

Oh Gods, I am SO glad I filled up my oil tank yesterday!!
I put diesel in yesterday and it took me to just under a full tank. Think I'll fill the remainder up and frame the receipt at 1.66 a litre and see what it soars back up to haha

Which is a weird thing to then give them all the matches, that's surely a huge amount of revenue for the cities and businesses for each of those matches and the crowds they bring?
I'll circle back to this later on today. But I think that those cities where picked because they had the stadium sizes needed for those FIFA games when FIFA was selecting which cities to hold these events in. and most of these cities are either blue or they are blue leaning. All Republicans are not MAGA. I heard like only 30% of the US population is MAGA.

No doubt there still are relatively sane Republicans, but they are keeping their heads well underneath the parapet and they're gonna have one hell of a fight to regain some modicum of control of the party once Trump is finally out of the picture.

Yeah, there is a Twitter/ YT group called Republicans Against Trump and many have admitted to voting blue for the first time in years to try and get him out.

and I"ve now seen a third person to mention that all of the games have been held in blue cities.

there are only three large capacity stadiums in the USA that was 100% privately funded, the others was funded with help of the tax payers money e.g. local and county tax money which republicans are usually against that and democrats and blue leaning majors cities are usually for that. I heard that the stadium in Houston tx, that 61% of it was funded with local tax dollars.

This is the way FIFA selects stadiums for the World Cup- So these stadiums were picked to the areas around the stadium and the roads and etc..
FIFA selects World Cup host stadiums through a rigorous evaluation process that assesses infrastructure, commercial potential, and FIFA World Cup bids. Candidate cities are narrowed down based on stadium capacity, pitch requirements, training site availability, and overall logistical and financial commitments.

Houston and Dallas are the most republican leaning cities but Houston does have a democrat for mayor. But he is pretty blue.

  • New York / New Jersey – MetLife Stadium (host of the final)
  • Philadelphia – Lincoln Financial Field
  • San Francisco Bay Area – Levi's Stadium

I think what's noteworthy about the hosting cities all being blue, is not that they're the ones with the stadiums to support the matches, the reasons for that seem obvious, but that the experiences of all of the tourists are overwhelming extremely positive. Unlike the claims by the right of blue cities and urban areas being "complete sh*tholes" the cup is proving that blue cities in the US have a lot of positive qualities. The melding of cultures is, by and large, a good thing. And clearly, good food always brings people together.

Mitch McConnell is a disgrace. He should have retired years ago. The arrogance of these American politicians who will not give up their power of the scale. Is it any wonder America is in the state it's in.
