It is indeed - Venezuela's oil being (entirely?) sour heavy crude is fine for diesel and industrial use but not for Strategic Petroleum Reserve which he has geniusly managed to mis-name - I would say deliberately, to stop people spotting the problem.As far as I'm aware it's the wrong type of Oil that usually gets stored by the US
And of course the other thing people are to not-spot is the several years and massive investment required to get Venezuela's oil industry back up to speed, so the shock revelation about it being the wrong type of oil for the reserve is kicked down the road.
Keep all the bad news things well apart, that way the public's perspective gets properly managed and the compliant US media will help the administration achieve that.
Wasn't Venezuela supposed to be having some elections, to either install a US-approved leader with a sort-of mandate or to at least confirm the interim puppet as the official one?
