I do this with KitKat Chunky’s, not tried it with a Twix yet.If I ever eat cake bars and the like, I always eat the chocolate off the sides, then the bottom biscuit/cake then the filling/toppingDone it since I was a little kid. It extends to similar chocolate bars too, e.g. a KitKat Chunky or a Twix, although I'm not quite so meticulous about those. Cupcakes are always icing last too. Lets the sweetness/flavour linger.

Me too. Beans can touch mashed potato, but nothing else. I make a mash potato wall/dam- Trump would be proudDoes anyone have any unusual food habits? If I get fish from the chippy, I have to remove all the batter, eat the fish then eat the batter. I’m the same with chicken nuggets from McDonald’s.
I have quite a few ‘quirks’ with food. I’m very particular about certain foods touching.
If I go to my mum’s and she’s made a pie with chips, I can only have the gravy on the pie and nowhere near the chips. So I eat them in different plates. If I have beans or peas as part of a meal I have to have them in a separate bowl so they don't mingle with the other elements.
Luckily my OH is understanding of my foibles .
I was just about to post the beans rule!!!! They simply must NOT touch any other food...EVER!If I have beans or peas as part of a meal I have to have them in a separate bowl so they don't mingle with the other elements.

My OH loves fine dining and I always think it’s such a waste. I’m quite like Daisy May Cooper if you’ve ever heard her on the Off Menu podcast. She said she’s more about quantity over qualityI don't mind food touching other food items on a plate but this fine dining style where food is piled in a stack is so unappealing and unappetising to me. You have to then unstack it to tuck into it and the whole plate looks a mess, plus its just so bloody pretentious. I call it knob head food.

I honestly don’t know how you do it!! I am particular but, would never ask, I’d just sit there. I hate beans and the first time I stayed at my friends and had breakfast, her mum made a bowl of beans with bacon stuck in it. I was nearly crying eating itI used to run a cafe and a great number of people are very particular about breakfast items, beans either served separately or not touching the egg, bacon two extremes either hardly cooked at all or do it really really well then do it some more till you can snap it, don’t put my beans on the toast, don’t put my poached eggs on my toast, sausages cook them then split them and make sure the middle is well done. I had a family in one time and all 3 of them asked for a different shade of colour on the toast, oh mine really lightly done but not still floppy, oh mine really really well done but not black , mine you know just about to be well done but not. Shame on me but to the amusement of all the other customers I said ok that’s fine but I have an idea next time why don’t you just bring me a fucking colour chart from B and Q and you can just point to right colour.
I do this!! Everyone has always said, it’s a posh thing to do!Whenever I go out for lunch/dinner I always eat with a knife and fork even if it’s a burger or pizza, I hate eating with my hands in public- unless it’s a fast food place like McDonald’s
