Depends what country you're talking about. In the US and somewhat in Aus it's common to do a bachelor's degree first and then specialise. I thought I wanted to do law but how can anyone at 18 truly know what they want to do so I did a BA and am now finishing my law (masters) degree. Learnt great skills from the BA and would 100% do the same again if I had to make the choice again.Completely agree with you and I used to be the same. What I also find odd about Minerva is that she was saying that people who have graduated from there before have then gone to uni and studied law and medicine. Why would you go to Minerva to then have to still go to uni to study whatever it is you want to do. The whole point usually is that you go to uni to specialise in the first place!
I think her Mum went to uni in Belgium. When she was doing her uni application she kept making reference to the fact her parents had no UCAS experience.. so I think her mum did go just not in the UKNot that it matters of course, but I do think it explains why there hasn't been open criticism of her institution choice from them.
Is her dad Simon Bowler? It’s juice plus he’s high up in which tells you all you need to know about her hypocritical family life and output
I think she just dramatises everything, like when she went to france for a few weeksfor that course and she acted like she was leaving for 6months in the middle if nowhere...I genuinely think she has some weird superiority complex. It seems every life event that happens she makes it into something she can post an inspirational story or caption about to "help" her followers, like she has this wisdom that no one else has. She went to a funeral, and used it to write a huge caption saying "life can be hard... life is an amazing opportunity... please prioritise kindness guys". I don't disagree with what she says, but does she think that if we didn't see her instagram captions we'd all be unkind depressed people? It's got a very preachy and "I'm more experienced than all of you" tone. It's really condescending that she's constantly putting out this kind of life lesson stuff.
Me neither.I am currently watching her vlog about packing.. I don't understand how she hasn't done this all already if she was expecting to have left 2 weeks ago?
What uni is rg? I honestly think part of her decision making was based on what’d be best for her channel tbhNot sure why she didn't just apply to a regular American Uni. With her grades and experiences, I genuinely wouldn't have thought the Ivies were out of reach (not totally). Then again, she turned down a place at an RG uni in the UK, so maybe she just didn't fancy the typical uni experience if it wasn't Oxford. But why not just use Open Uni and travel while doing that?
yeh exactly! all their courses sound so vague imoI know here in the UK, 101 is usually the introductory course, so a lot of the theory you probably need to know for the rest of your degree, or the important debates in the field. Not really sure how you'd run a history 101 unless each week was a quick look at one period of history?
