Skilled workers are probably be driven away by our ludicrously high taxes and crappy conditions; while unskilled workers and people who will be a net drain are pouring in.

Honestly with all these reform, green and independent cranks coming out, it wouldnt surprise me if we have a backlash and go back to 3 party politics by the next election.

I've been listening to young families, people with degrees who can't get a job here and businesses packing up and leaving saying life is better for them elsewhere. I can't blame them.

I’m not interested in the accuracy of what she posted, I’m just mentioning the fact there’s a pattern in that particular constituency. She did not end up being put forward in the end so obviously she wasn’t considered suitable by the party itself for whatever reason.

Yes some of the campaigning they do is on the weekends and yes all the parties are guilty of it, but everything being on social media is really highlighting how much the MPs and especially the cabinet ministers just drop everything from their day jobs - that the taxpayer pays them handsomely for - and spend days doing photoshoots at each of these important by-elections. Particularly watch Lucy Dogwhistle Powell, she will pop up daily in Makerfield, I guarantee it, her constituents must be heartily sick of their needs being regularly abandoned. Three Homes Rayner will definitely turn up for a lot of photo shoots too. What normal people get to just abandon their paid day job for weeks and toddle off up the country to do something else for their own interests?

And worst of all this was a Labour seat that they're all panicking about; the need to spend time there and defend it has come about entirely because of their party's internal strife and Burnham's vanity!

Exactly this! We have imported and allowed in all the dregs of the third world.

Watching the service today at the National Memorial Arboretum, which is organised by the Royal British Legion. To mark the end of the Iraq war and in rememberance of all those service men and women who lost their lives.

Whether it be met with a good or bad reception, Tony Blair should have shown some respect and attended. There were MP's who represent the Midlands present, no Blair though.

I know I have a downer on a lot of things political these days ....... but there is so much to be down about.

Just give us a giggle Makerfield and just let Burnham go back to being your Mayor Then I promise my posts will be more positive.
