Adding to the scent experiences - I lost my dad in 2012 and he loved a bit of TCP for all ailments and every now and again I’ll get a waft of it randomly. It’s happened in several houses (I’ve moved twice since he passed) and even in the car. I’ve not got any of it in the house and it’s such a distinctive smell. Really comforting when it happens to think he’s making his presence known to me.

I've probably posted this story before but I can't remember so ...

When my Nana died my Grandad went to live with my Aunt. Quite often my Aunt would say that Grandads room smelt strongly of cigarette smoke. He never smoked and neither did anyone else in the house but my Nana smoked like a chimney.

I love seeing your stories, thank you for sharing them. I wish every day that my brother would send me a sign or something. I’m sure he does in ways I don’t know of. 💛

This is random.. have you seen the advert for the canals and river trust? A young boy is searching for a kingfisher, following the directions that where left to him by his late grandad.... n when he spots the bird... he says.. look grandad its there!
I like to believe that those moments, ones we would have shared, that bring a tear and a wave of emotion and a memory, are signs that they are with us. As long as within your heart and mind... they never leave us. I hope that thought gives you some comfort 💖💕🥰

I used to smell cigarette smoke in my car.
I used to wonder if it was being sucked in through the air vents from the outside.🤣

I always want to ask little kids about spooky things, but as I don't have my own to practise on it's a bit of a dangerous endeavour.
Mind you after the major spooky event in my house, a little boy approached me to talk about his grandma, who he'd been playing with, so he must have overheard the adults talking. Told me his mum said she was dead, but he couldn't see it because she'd been playing with him and his toys before his tea.
