Following the documentary, what is everyone’s views on Shannon Matthews? I believe the Mother in that she was going to leave, but then either something happened that night at home and she couldn’t or she changed her mind. Which resulted in her panicking and not coming clean with the police

When she planned to leave Craig and organised for Shannon to be taken Craig was sick and not at work that day. So the plot went awry. I live minutes away from the moor. There is a lot more that will never come out about it. The no grassing rule.

Did anyone watch the doc on Ch4 last night Diary From Beyond The Grave about the Peter Farquhar murder? Fascinating case but very very sad. The journals that Peter wrote were so heartbreaking.

I started listening to The Lady Vanishes last night - it’s so good! Such an interesting case.

I’ve watched all the Unsolved Mysteries episodes on Netflix, and the cases that still haunt me are Jennifer Fairgate (who the flip is she?!) and Xavier DuPont de Ligonnes (his poor family).

I also watched the Netflix documentary about Shanann Watts. Chris’ mistress definitely knew he was married - it was all over Google search histories!

I have alot of Kendall Rae and Bailey Sarian (I just love her!) as said above they cover some obscure crimes I've never heard of.

I find the psychology behind child murderers the most fascinating. I picked up Colin Wilsons Mammoth Book of Crime when I was only about 11! And the first crime I ever read about was Jesse Harding Pomeroy. Also the case of the shark arm I took an interest to, I am interested in hearing about cases solved by a million to one chance.

Modern British cases, ones that have happened in the past 20 or so years to present.

Missing people I find fascinating.

I'm very new to Podcasts and don't know where to start at all! If someone can guide me to some good ones that correspond with the above?

Crome Junkies is a great podcast also by same production company Anatomy of Murder. On YouTube Stephanie Harlow and she also has a podcast, Crime Weekly.
Bella fiori on YouTube she did an episode on Shannon Matthews. I think cos she is Australian things were reported there that weren't here and it was an eye opener.

True crime stuff fascinates me - I listened to the Case File episode on the creation of the Silk Road site on the dark web and the subsequent arrest of the guy behind it all, all the details of how they investigated it are absolutely fascinating. It was very different from other pod episodes which are largely around missing people, murder etc. so it just stands out for that reason.

i read about the toy box killers case and the awful awful tape they used to play to each victim, I saw it on reddit last week and wish I never did!

I will never unread that transcript!! Also recommend reading up on Laurence Bittaker and Roy Norris.....those guys were pure evil. The recording they made of one of their victims is used to desensitive FBI agents. A brief shot of this is shown on Mindhunter.

Emma Kenney covered the case on her YouTube channel and she played the actual recording. I was listening while I was driving and had to pull over because I felt so ill just hearing it. Especially the part with the dogs. I actually didn't even finish listening to that episode because of it. It is deeply DEEPLY disturbing. And this is coming from someone who can stomach a lot in the way of true crime and violence. Watch at your own risk.

Manson Family
Golden State Killer
Ted Bundy
In fact, any American Serial Killer (not that Manson was directly)

Love them or hate them, I'm a Murderino. I also enjoy CaseFile - the Golden State Killer in particular. The Toybox killer was

For lighthearted podcasts, I listen to Hollywood Crime Story and Small Town Murder (they can be smutty if you are offended).

Love watching the crime channel, was fascinated by the Night Stalker series on Netflix and just finished the Hotel Cecil (I don't want to spoil the end to this, as it was news to me, but was always amazed by the theories on this one and actually went to the doorstep when I was in LA about 4 years ago).

I'm based in Australia, so for crimes that happened here, definitely Snowtown, Ivan Milat and Mr Cruel.

Pretty sure it was someone who had a beef going on with one of the girl's fathers. To do with drug money or something.

I have heard that one of the girls seemed to be more targeted than the other. Its a very odd case.

The Delphi murders really gets me as well! I wish they could find out who it was. Sadly I don’t think we will ever find out

I always find the Manson murders so scary, I read the Helter Skelter book by the prosecutor which was really good.

The Zodiac Killer. Always freaks me out about the couple who were somewhere having a picnic and he killed them. You always think your safe when you’re in a pair but clearly not. Another one we will never find out.

I watch Youtubers like Kendall Rae, Eleanor Neale, Stephanie Harlowe & Bailey Sarian who cover loads of cases I’ve never heard of.

I watched the Netflix series about Richard Ramirez and let me tell you that is not a good idea when you spend most of the week living on your own

Anything with home invasions or attacks in places you should be safe get to me.

I listened to The Orange Tree podcast recently. The hosts were incredibly sensitive to the victim and her family, her parents were on the podcast and they seemed like such sweet and wonderful parents. My heart really broke for them and everything they went through.

A few cases I feel most invested in -

Jodi Huisentruit - missing anchor woman who worked for a local news station in Iowa. Was abducted outside her apartment in 1995; never been found. Highly recommend the Finding Jody podcast.

The Springfield Three - three woman (a mother, daughter and daughter's friend) vanished from a house in Missouri in the middle of the night in 1992, never to be seen again. I have lost sleep over this case.

EARONS - Solved now, but I think there is still so much we will find out about him. The 'I'm gonna kill you' phone call recording is absolutely terrifying.

Andrew Gosden - 14 year-old boy disappeared from Doncaster in 2007. Skipped school that day, took a train to London (CCTV confirming him arriving at King's Cross and not seen since.) I have my own thoughts on what I think happened with this, and I really hope to see it solved one day soon!

There's a great Audible podcast on Suzanne's case; Body of Proof I think it's called? it's worth taking the month free trial just to listen to it!

The Springfield 3!! I always think of them, its so bizarre. Poor Andrew I was on the subreddit dedicated to his case and its perplexing what happened. What are your thoughts on it?

I listen to a lot of True Crime podcasts and the ones that pique my interest are usually unsolved missing persons cases. The two that have really held my interest are Marion Barter (The Lady Vanishes podcast) and Jennifer Kesse (detailed in a number of different podcasts).

Anyone else taken an interest in these two particular cases? Any theories?

Marion Barter is really fascinating case as it seems she may have been complicit in staging her own disappearance. The main theory seems to be that she fell for some con-man type who encouraged her to leave her old life behind and start a new one with him - only for him to then murder her. Other theories suggest that Marion is still alive but wants nothing to do with her family. It seems that there are no easy answers with this one - but the podcast is a really interesting listen!

Yes I listened to The Lady Vanishes and still can’t stop thinking about it. It’s so bizarre! I think she got involved with someone who killed her, I don’t feel that she would have abandoned her family and there’s been no trace of her since so sadly I do think she has passed over. I really hope that they can find what has happened to her, it’s agony for her daughter, i can fully understand how she can’t just let it go despite what her aunts have said to her about doing that, I wouldn’t be able to. She really needs the closure and to be able to find peace with it.

Pazuzu algarad is interesting it was shown on vice, he was a so called self proclaimed demon worshipper, they found 2 bodies in his backyard. Also theres something wrong with Aunt diane.
