Well retail can be a full time job? She gets on average 30k views, ad revenue of YouTube is so poor. Can’t imagine that’s funding anyone to sit home for sixth months straight or pre-break. I understand taking a mental health break but six months is a long time, and doesn’t look like she’ll be back anytime soon. It’s an easy thing to use as a cover, no one asks questions.

It can but Lauren was very vocal about how much she hated working in retail. It would be a strange move for someone with such fragile mental health.
I Remember she had a similar break in 2019 and spoke about taking antidepressants but I think this crisis has been brewing for a long time (staying up all night editing videos was a red flag imo). Lauren loved posting online so it does correlate to the depression symptom of losing interest in things that used to bring you joy.

OK I managed to track her down. She is indeed having a mental health crisis & it is indeed quite closely related to the creature who likes to photograph dead black girls & make obscene jokes over their bodies. Mostly to the reaction against her decision to come out in favour of backing the wrongcock ex copper & not the women & people of colour who deserve to be safe from him.


Now I'm going to say something that I have long believed & always been howled down for. I do not suspect it will be any different here tbh & I do not give a flying fuck at a rolling doughnut who objects.

The tattoo industry, far from having been reformed & rehabilitated by the last 20 years of mainstreaming has become if anything, more predatory, more insular & far, far more likely to protect abusers, criminals & predators within it. I think the problems with predation have become far more widespread than they were 30+ years ago when I began to engage with the culture. It was a small community then. Everyone knew everyone. In person knew, not had heard of from their marketing material.

There are more tattooers coming in every year and many, many more clients. Not only that but the demographic of the clients has changed so much that the predators inside the industry now have a lot more victims to choose from. It has become almost a right of passage for 18 year old girls to begin collecting tattoos. They know only what they've seen on Insta & TikTok so they judge a tattoo studio by the number of followers it has online. They don't have old hands advising them about who to go to, who to avoid & how to tell the difference. Moreover they don't have a big bad biker or punk boyfriend, brother or dad to go & kick the shit out of the sleazy bastard who tried to feel a lass up, made off colour remarks or crossed any other lines the way we did. And the wronguns know that better than anyone. It has emboldened them.

The tattoo community, male & female will close ranks around an accused tattooer & turn like a pack of rabid dogs on those calling him out for fear of bringing disrepute to the industry as a whole. It is what has happened here & it's disgusting. It's enabling behaviour & it is absolutely & utterly the direct result of how much money they're all making out of this mainstreaming that's going on. Not so much don't kill the goose that's laying golden eggs. More like don't let stories that might frighten the goose from the doors escape from inside the industry.

Lauren told potential clients about one of these predators. That was her offence & for that she was pilloried. Her. Not the man who despite having sworn to protect & serve the people of London decided that his racism & misogyny would make a great WhatsApp group post at the expense of two murdered women. No. They turned on the young woman who objected to his presence within it.

The tattoo industry needs to be regulated up the wazoo because it has shown itself to be utterly unwilling to regulate itself. Anyone with a criminal history of violence & predation needs to be barred from ever participating in it. This will of course not weed out every predator in the industry but it would sure as fuck have kept Jaimie cunting Lewis out of it.

I think deep down she must be a bit gutted with how it came out! I think the tattooist was a friend of her boyfriend and they drove like 4 hours to get it, so it's probably hard for her to admit how bad it is

She stole the design for one of her t-shirts from a tattoo artists merch. Some one had posted it in her group a year or so before then a while later, she was using the same phrase and pretty much the same font on one of her t-shirts. Obviously she got called out on it by the tattoo studio on insta but in true Lauren fashion, she picks and chooses when plagiarism is ok and her and her minions argued that she’d done nothing wrong because the font was ever so slightly different.

Tbh those vlogs made me feel quite shocked and upset. Yasmin is clearly very unwell, she must be suffering terribly with her health (mental and physical) to get into that state. Both appear to be in total denial of the seriousness of the situation. If I were Lauren, I'd be very concerned for my friend.

Yasmin always seems happy and content but you just can’t be comfortable at that size

I mean, surely an NHS checkup would tell her she might consider a gastric sleeve? Did she say no to that, that she could lose the weight alone? She doesn’t seem to have the willpower

Lauren's first language is english, right? I'm genuinely asking, because I only started learning it when I was 12 and I can't understand why a native speaker would say things like "more bigger" "more blacker" all the time? Did her teachers not correct her at school? And she can't pronounce simple words most people use every day, like, did she ever mention having dyslexia or something? And I'm not trying to judge her, my english's not perfect by any means, it's just that I've watched a few of her videos yesterday and I found it sooo distracting lol

It’s when you can’t burp. Basically the valve that closes when you swallow doesn’t open when you need to burp so you basically fill with air like a balloon. It’s very uncomfortable. It makes it hard to go out. I’ve been sick many times because the only way to release the air is to make myself gag until it comes out. It’s only recently been realised as a condition mostly because it’s easier for people to share information online.

Then why does she drink so much pepsi max, surely that would make the condition a hell of a lot worse

Is discussing that a public figure has gained weight fat-shaming? Especially one who's entire online presence is based on modifying and changing their appearance. If she's happy with herself that's really all that matters. If someone commented a youtuber had lost weight, would it be thin-shaming?!
I always find it incredible the ego of people looking themselves up on this forum and getting upset at it

I do feel for her with her stomach/ digestive issues she has, but surely having experimental Botox injected into your throat should be the absolute LAST resort after you've exhausted all other options?

She should really try a more holistic approach towards her health. A good place to start would be to cut out all processed high sugar/fat fast food, stop staying up all night editing videos, start eating 3 healthy meals a day (drink water and cut out Pepsi Max!) and incorporate some gentle exercise.
I just feel like she could be doing so much more to help herself before doing this dangerous surgical stuff

I have this same condition and you clearly don’t know anything about it. And yeah I’ve done all those things AND still had to do Botox. It’s really not dangerous at all, just expensive. And worth it for the relief, which is indescribable.

Personally speaking, it's a risky piercing to sink that much money into the initial jewellery (mine never healed with a ring)

No shade at people from small towns (I’m from one myself) but I’d say she’s lonely and depressed being in a place with not much to do, sitting in her room- think she’s from Luton? She’d probably have more fun moving to London although she might not to be able to afford it- she should live on a shoestring and have an adventure
Although what are her future plans? She’s very heavily tattooed..
