That was a lot to catch up on!!! I just wanted to comment on the gambling. I don’t think it’s far fetched that a compulsive gambler/gambling addict would steal anything and everything that they can (same goes for a drug addict). I understand it’s an illness and they need rehabilitation and will be in recovery forever and there’s always a chance of relapse at any given moment and it is stressful for the addict’s loved ones. For example, my mother’s brother (gambling addict) stole my mother’s car when she was in the hospital, trying to recover from a possible life prolonging surgery. It was something I had to hide from her because it would have been devastating to her to hear this while she was dying. Addicts will steal to get to their goal no matter who they are hurting. I heard the same behaviors on the podcast.
Again, that being said, it does not make Tracey a good person. She’s still terrible to people and she’s still harming her children with her words and behavior. When the children are older, they should know if their father is in active addiction and a potential problem to them or their finances. They don’t need to know about the cheating. That has nothing to do with them. Yes, cheating is wrong but it isn’t anything against the children and they don’t need to know about it.
