I wonder if this most recent break up has something to do with C posting about her solo holiday. He really kicked off when someone messaged him to say she had a new partner a while back. Maybe he thinks she's single again and he's in with a chance 
I also think he’s one of those that gets a partner for bday/xmas (tree put up) “cuffing season” then breaks up before the gf bday..

There's defo something in this. As much as he puts on a brave face about having no-one to be with at Christmas, It definitely bothers him.
He spends his life on SM seeing everyone's posts and pics of their plans and parties.
Meanwhile he has to look forward to crying into a Lean Cuisine meal for one.
I think he ramps up the effort in winter (his bday is in November too)
Then come summer, when he's expected to get off the sofa and do something.. it's all too much effort.
