I still follow her, but often skip her stories. Usually mundane, minimal running info and no captions. Was surprised to see her in Boston, hadn’t remembered her mentioning it, and more often reminds everyone how much she hated London and liked the smaller races.

She seems completely unhinged there, overly excited at a free tshirt, crying about not finding a bus stop (or something like that).

Her eldest acts like a right little tit. If I’d have spoke to my mother the way she does, I wouldn’t have sat down for a week. Gemma seems to enable it though, thinks the disrespectful texts are funny and her never clearing up makeup smeared over every surface isn’t necessarily a problem. I guess when Gemma admits to throwing her recycling out of the kitchen window all week, to only put it in the bin on bin day, I Suppose the girl shows the same amount of respect as her mother.

OMG, yes, her eldest is so disrespectful! I have teens and sometimes they do say mean stuff but they definitely get pulled up on it and told that is not how you speak to the people who provide and care for you. The "babes" and "mate" in messages is just weird. Why does she share it? Her daughter clearly watches her mum's stories, and sends DMs about them, Jemma shares them which probably encourages her daughter to send more?! I'm barely allowed to take photos of my teens, and I would never dream about posting them online, or their messages.

She was definitely training for a marathon but never said which one. Next thing she posted the departure board at the gate.

To be fair she did story saying the trip had cost her a lot and doing world major races isn’t normal.

I wonder why her BFF Kels can’t just take a learning from GJemma and undertake a solid training block then race an event. No need to declare early. Just get on with your training and show up.
Fair play to JGemma.

2026 has DNS after DNS for Kels instead.

She went out too fast and is suffering. Looking at her paces you'd think Kelly had coached her.

Her strava suggests most weeks around 40ish miles and 1-2 hours strength. It’s almost like the training of someone with a job fitting it all around their life. It seems… relatable. Weird.

1:41 halfway.
3:38 finish.
Think that still gets her a GFA for London.

She probably limited her mileage so she didn't get injured again. I don't think she does huge mileage anyway.

Came here to say the same. I'm sure she's said she limits her mileage to avoid injury, having learnt the hard way.
She does get on my nerves, her "innocent little country girl" act and seeming lack of insight into her privilege, but I do think she's been very sensible with her training and I'm pleased she finally got to do Boston. I'm sure she originally BQd at a race in Canada years ago, so it must feel like it's been a long time coming.

Agree. She’s annoying but has clearly had a sensible six months or so and has come out of it with a Boston race. Fair play.
