Etsy sellers using AI instead of showing photos of actual products. I have bought some lovely things off of Etsy over the years, it was always my go to for nice gifts for family and friends. Now you have to really scroll to get past the AI . There even used to be some nice handmade baby clothes on there that were great gifts for anyone I know who was pregnant and now even those types of shops show AI babies and you can't trust the shop owner. Can nobody put in any effort anymore? They are clearly scammers and Etsy doesn't do anything about it.

as an Etsy seller I can say that there’s an awful lot of us who feel exactly the same

ugh yes, especially pdf knitting/crochet patterns etc, some sellers are using AI art where the stitches aren't even possible.

Same with cross stitching, loads of AI or floss cross "patterns" that will never work but they put them out there with massive numbers of colours that people will spend a fortune on and hours working on to find they look shit.

I was filmed at work by an auditor. I made myself incredibly boring but polite and to date, I havent appeared on their social media I recommend everyone do the same and hopefully they fuck off back to their PlayStation in their mum's spare bedroom. I'd love to live in a sociable media free world.

I didn't have confetti, but blue cake my partner baked, which I cut wearing an eye blind firstly. We had a nice family gathering, spending a lovely time together, celebrating our new addition to the family after a loss in 2024. Didn't do a baby shower, and my "maternity shoot" will be me and my sister with her sLR in a nearby park.

It's all AI and dropshippers now. I used to love getting people handmade gifts from there but now I don't know what's a scam and what isn't so I don't bother. They should ban AI and dropshippers!

I sell hand knits and some of my diamond art stuff on Etsy but get hardly any views or sales on there (the selling fees on Etsy are really quite steep too). I haven't noticed these AI ones so I will have to have a look. eBay have gone down the AI route with descriptions (which nobody reads anyway) and it is so flowery you can tell straight away it is AI crap.

Facebook is hacking me off right now with old posts and the majority of posts from people/companies I have no interest in whatsoever. I hardly ever see posts from people on my friends list. Also many old posts too. Went in yesterday and top of my newsfeed are posts from beginning of January which I have seen. It has gone really awful and I only stay on there as I have friends and family all over the UK and Canada too.

I deleted Facebook a few days ago, it's utterly pointless now. I did use it to keep up with family but I never see their posts anyway!

Facebook is handy for events but otherwise it’s nothing like it used to be

I’m finding threads my favourite at the moment - no ads and hardly any videos

Apparantly talk about outdated gender stereotypes and listen to the parents go on about a "car loving football boy" or a "princess loving ballet girl " only for them to end up with the exact opposite several years later
