Hello kindred soul. Glad (but also sad for us) that I'm not the only oneMe too. Funny because I like buying other people birthday presents and making them feel special but I cry every year on my birthday without fail
I like the biscuits. I don't like the obsession with making a million variations of biscoff cake/brownie/baked good
same here. I always end up feeling like no one cares. The last two years I’ve had no expectations and they have been better but I often feel like I just wish someone would make a fuss. I hate Christmas! Now that my girl is 18 then there are zero kids to watch get excited! My mum also expects me to go to hers every year and just sometimes I don’t want to but world war 3 would ensue if I didn’t and what my mum wants, then my mum gets 
I dont like christmas, I find it very boring. I can't look back and remember any fun times.
I live the actual day but hate the build up and the over commercialisation. I don't like working it but it's usually a nice shift when you do.

Hate NYE and in the past I usually volunteered to work on Christmas so as to escape the usual crap of being with people for too long on the day.
Totally agree, I haven’t gone out/done anything for at least the last 4 New Years and it’s such a relief, it’s just annoying when people ask what you do and find it sad you’ve done nothing . Who cares?!

Yeh I agree, I used to live in a continental European country where Xmas really only started in December and I enjoyed it a lot more. It’s the same with all holidays here, like hot x buns lose their novelty if you can just get them almost all year
I detest NYE and go to bed before midnight. I’ve always found it quite melancholy.

I do this too. This year for NYE I think a lot of people will go all out on the partying after the year we have had so far. Remember NYE just gone, everyone was thinking it would be good to see the back of 2019, roll on the roaring 20s....well, look what happened!
yeah true. I did actually stay up this year as it was the first time my kids wanted to stay up. It was blindingly obvious it was a let down for them watching Craig David followed by some fireworks on the tele.
