I've not seen a thread for The Welsh Twins so I had to start one. I've been following Robert and James for a while but their joint channel has me howling. So knowledgeable and SO FUNNY too. My fave YouTubers by far.

It very much feels like they can't be bothered. I think they only started the twin channel to bump up Robert's subscribers as James was on 1.2mil and Robert was 'only' on 600k at the time. He must have caught up by now.
They used to be favourites for how knowledgeable and hard working (for youtubers obviously) they were, especially Robert. But they lost my respect when they cosied up to Susan Yara when she came to London, as all the infleuncers did. People such as James and caroline hirons were critical of her and ignored Naturium then suddenly after going out to dinner with her, they are reviewing her products very favourably. I'm telling you, big money changed hands back then.....

I also miss their old videos. Even the editing was really funny how marcus used to roast them. Now it seems like they lost their spark.

Chiming in to share the love on their joint channel. The Valentine's Day short they posted with the dogs was one of the funniest things I've seen ... ever. Completely off-the-charts funny and surreal.
I think Marcus is an unsung hero, too.

I like their well thought out videos like the 'historically accurate' ones, makeovers and their Q&As, but I find the two grown men in their 30s cooking like children ones tedious. I love how they complement each other as a duo and Robert comes out with some of the best lines. I still cry at him saying he looked liked a princess's stalker "you throwing these clothes away? I'll have them"!

He's (Robert) done this a few times and then pretends to be surprised when he then gets sent whatever item. It's pretty obvious that's the reason he's posting about "missing out"

I used to love their twin videos, but there's only so many times you can watch men in their mid 30s pretend to be useless at life whether it's cooking or other general life skills. It seems a bit contrived now and they don't put the effort in to the twins channel like they used to. The historically accurate series were really fun but they would have needed to plan them. Now they just get their assistant to buy stuff and they review it. Or their assistant plans a quiz and they fail at it.Oooh there is a thread about these two.
I used to enjoy their videos - both individually & together - but lately a few things have started to irk me.
The twins videos feel like they can’t be bothered to be honest and ALOT of the ideas seems to be copied from other influencers, and it’s becoming tired and predictable.
James isn’t a qualified skin care professional (he worked in lush) but his ego really has started it’s journey of growththere is a video in which (think is a twin one) he’s soo determined to ensure he gets his new Balenciaga top in shot it’s beyond cringe.
Even the way the insta or tweet about things they could Google themselves but it feels like the point of the post was to get a freebie.
i just feel the significant change has happened & the once watchable accounts just irritate me.
oh and if you aren’t American they don’t seem to give a shit to be honest - you know because there audience is mainly there.
and didn’t they only live in states for a year as kids ???

I like them a lot but I hate how snobby James is about drugstore brands, he always digs at them and has something bad to say. Sorry we can’t all afford KBeauty cleansers.
Another point Robert made was how some users have pfp using screenshots from the creators... Sorry but has he seen his thumbnails? They aren't flattering screenshots he's used for his reaction videos.
I like Robert's videos usually, but for him to be basically a troll towards every single person that is on this site isn't it.
He says himself it is a forum. Why hasn't he attacked reddits that do deep dives on creators? Or gossip guru? Daily Mail and the comment section?

Oh completely and that’s become very apparent of late. James has been bombarding the Korean community with the hopes of landing a sponsor or three - but it feels inauthentic to an extent, I don’t know, something changed for me. They made out they were these down the earth, unfazed by the whole influencer thing (but I think it’s because at that point they weren’t part of the gang) now they are ? You can tell. And also last time I saw a story (think it was Robert) it was one of these influencer begging (but not begging, but begging) by doing the asking followers - it was such a blatant attempt at getting a freebie, it left me thinking - I see you now.

They have definitely stopped trying with their twin videos. They used to be full of content now there's no effort and they are relying on American fans loving 20 mins of them giggling. If you look at the very first historically accurate video, they had planned and researched. Now they just turn up and put on what Ashton has bought for them and told them to say.

Thank you. Seriously, I feel there is a form of blindness when it comes to these two. I used to love the content but now it feels like an effort to them & their content is aimed at kids in AMERICA. I feel they try to portray themselves as love & light but I feel it’s an act & it’s starting to show more. That’s all.I don't really watch James, maybe the odd video but I do enjoy watching Roberts/twin videos but as mentioned above they've just really started to irk me. Mostly Robert because that who I watch the most.
Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy his content and he's better than alot of these infulencers but just the way he says things or the attitude he has on videos and on Instagram stories just really gets my back up

.I've also never seen any death threats and definitely no doxxing. Only people discussing things that these people publicly post but that won't get sympathy if he says that.
