As I've mentioned before, I hadn't watched any of their vlogs for a very long time, I usually just scan these pages to get an idea of what's happening.
However, I've just recently begun viewing the most recent ones.
I am obviously a completely 'lay person,' but watching the latest one, I feel that they both looked and sounded very depressed, and somewhat defeated by their choices? Maybe I'm completely off track, and it's the thought of cooking for 12, but felt something was 'off.' Probably the food in the fridge!
I don't make these statements lightly, using humour to deflect. However, I have suffered, and still do, with depression, and, not so much now, but 'real' panic attacks, which left me housebound for many months, only going out when friends came over, to go food shopping.
Since my accident in May, where I fractured both my hands, and sustained a nasty gash across my brow bone, plus severe bruising under my 'good' eye, blind in one, I have lost my confidence to go out. I only go out once a week to get food shopping. I take a minicab ( like an uber), there and back.
Most of the drivers know me, and they're very kind and helpful. I've just started food shopping on-line from other S'markets that are further away, and I miss visiting! I try and stay positive, Tattle helps a lot, makes me laugh, sometimes out loud, which is quite rare these days.
Despite this, the week goes quickly, I try and fill my days, sometimes difficult. I am hoping that in the new year, I will find the courage to go out again.
It was such an unexpected fall, didn't trip, slip, feel dizzy, or faint. Someone affiliated to the hospital, was supposed to call me, and I guess to come and visit to discuss my 'needs.' No one has as yet. We are very lucky to have the N.H.S. in this country, so I don't want to call and 'badger' them. They are so short staffed, and there are people, I'm sure, far worse off than me.
I'm unsure now why I started on this diatribe, so in conclusion, i.m.o. and I know I've mentioned it, and others, they both need to seek help and soon, 'cos I dread to think how they will survive when their new baby arrives. I feel so sad. Those poor children.
