With all the talk about moving to Cornwall you’d think they would already be making a start on having a good clear out, where are the skips? The tip runs? The charity donations?
who would even want to be considering a move to the other side of the country with all that clutter to deal with?
It's not just the amount of clutter that's abnormal - it's the fact that Zoe seems to have no systematic way of storing stuff. I mean, she points to the side of her bed and says there's bags there going on vinted, but there's bags all over the place at some stage of being "sorted". And who keeps vinted bags right next to the bed so you practically trip over it when you get up in the morning? The junk is everywhere!. Even if she had a certain place that she stored vinted items in it might make a difference. Even sitting with Olivia and going through the twins' haul, she just puts the stuff on the bed and makes no attempt to sort it out. The clothes for the bin could have been put in one pile, the "definite" things for the twins in another pile, the "maybe" clothes in another pile. She even had stuff with holes in them. So it's clear she's going to start again and spend hours going through every item umming and ahing.

I've done Keto but nowadays I just low carb. I'm insulin resistant and was type 2 diabetic for a few weeks (I was never overweight, just one of those things, I had gestational diabetes and there is always a chance you get type 2 when older). A random blood test showed that my sugars were nearly 20m/mol so I immediately went total keto and went from 11.5 stone to 8.5 in under 3 months, got my blood sugar to normal and then had to slowly gain back weight (I'm 5'10 for context) but if I go over about 60-70 grams of carbs a day it still affects my blood sugar so I don't eat sugar and minimal amounts of high fibre carbs. I don't miss the sugar to be honest but I do sometimes dream about cheap white bread toast 😂

So technically I can have a yorkie but it sort of eats into my allowance and I've tried making them with wholemeal flour or almond flour to lower the impact but it wasn't successful.
We did Keto a couple of years ago and I used this recipe I found on YT. 45g Arrowroot powder, 120ml double cream, 2 eggs, salt and pepper. Whisk and cook as normal (less time). These quantities make around 5 Yorkies so you could halve the recipe. My other half preferred these to normal ones.

Brilliant thank you. I hadn't come across that one. I've screen shotted it and will give it a try. How did you get on with the keto? For me it was fine in the short term but I struggled by the end and was barely eating at all. I could no longer stand the smell of eggs or warm almond flour and I was losing too much weight. I literally had no energy by that point and when simply trying to cut up a roast chicken and not having the strength to get the leg off drove me to tears, I admitted defeat. The low carb works great for me.

It wasn't so much the keto that caused the low energy it was lack of food, I was eating a few mouthfuls at most for each meal as I was just so scunnered with food.

That said, a few months of keto would do woey and val the world of good.

Snap, dont want to derail the thread but this lazy pair could do with it.

I tried it for 3 months, didnt work, turned out I was a Type 1 diabetic not type 2. But like you, I couldnt face the thought of ever eating another egg again. I felt sick and awful and it didnt make any difference to my blood sugar.

I will also add, it’s incredibly uncommon that they will have face to face and phone contact as well as then going on the request a report. It’s one or the other usually unless the families have not provided a satisfactory response and they are being given a final chance to satisfy the LA with a detailed written response for those children. I’d say they are very much on the radar for concern.
Could they lie about what they've been teaching the kids? Or do they have to show some proof of where the kids are at? I wonder if one of the red flags is having so many kids, theres 6 of school age and Flo is coming up to school age. Zoe does nothing so its an awful lot for one man to teach 6 kids of different ages appropriately. That may ring alarm bells on its own. Same with the Minghams, they dont make any attempt to educate their kids at all

Those Yorkies are very light too. I found the Keto diet too rich. I don't eat much bread but on Keto I craved bread. Though I eat meat, I don't eat a huge amount of it but I love pretty much all vegetables (other than sprouts or broad beans). We like to eat well but, I shop savvy. I've mentioned a couple of times on here that Lidl mark meat and fish down by 50% on a Sunday. You will remember the TV programme back in the 80s called "Can't Cook, Won't Cook". Woey unfortunately is both. I'm lucky, I love cooking and it sounds as though many Tattlers do too. We don't eat junk really, we still have some chocolates left over from Christmas and half an Easter egg (we only had one Easter egg!). I had a frying pan for Easter - imagine the reaction Woey would have had if Val had bought her that for Easter and not copious amounts of chocolate!

The fact they vlog their HE (or lack of) is surely documented proof at how they are failing the kids? That's just for the education. Then there's the vlogged evidence of the terrible nutrition. How badly the younger twins are treated in so many ways. It's not just the LA that need to be clamping down but SS and more.

They've also openly said they did nothing for months at a time because they were in Cornwall and then woey was away and took the main helpers with her and also nothing when it was christmas or when woey was away and then they were all down in Cornwall again. Even if they were doing an appropriate amount of work when they were doing a day with some edition going on (which we know they aren't), its still far too few days in the year. They also do nothing when it's actual school holidays too.

They'll have 20 plastic boxes of colouring in to show and very little else.

To be slightly generous to Val, right from the start it was announced that she would be doing the straightforward academic stuff and he would be focusing on topics and extra curricular stuff. He has sort of kept up his side but none of the home school groups or other stuff you would expect, and nothing ever finished, but she checked out of it long ago other than buying the stationery/workbooks.

Will they use granny dying and easing the children back into lessons slowly. No way can they provide a decent education. When she goes to Cornwall will he send Elizabeth for shopping and film a mini haul not forgetting his chocolate. Will he vlog the rota's again of course he will. What bloody vlog titles will he come up with. Will the community want yo buy the children an ice cream. When her brother visits will grandad come as well.

Again sorry for the derail, I make my own nut based granola bars and I like meat and fish so I tend to just have something with either veg or salad. I will eat small amounts of sourdough or crackers from time to time and snack on nuts/popcorn/lentil chips and a little bit of 90% dark chocolate. I have berries and Greek yoghurt and I dint mind cooking and im just carefully with what I have when eating out. I'd definitely find it easier if it was just me I was cooking for but I also need to cater to my sons.

I've been low carb for about 3 years now so I don't really even have to think about it anymore. I'll still go for an Indian or Chinese meal, I just pick carefully. I must be the only one who goes to the chippy and has a baked potato though 😂

The whole food thing just frustrates me too as actual cooking wouldn't need to be any more work, They could have made a big pot of scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast with a bit of yoghurt and fruit after. Bananas/clementines for snack or cheese and crackers. A pot of soup for lunch, a homemade flapjack and an apple for afternoon snack if needed and they could put a tray or two of potatoes in the oven for dinner with tuna mayo/cheese and beans/chicken and sweetcorn and salad if it was warm or chili or curry or something if it was cool. Home made rice pudding with raisins for dessert or stewed fruit and custard for afters. A pot of soup can literally take half an hour.

Thinking back to the challenges they did for charity. Here's some for you Ben (your view count would rocket too): The Dullies go a month without crisps, Zoe does a month with no chocolate, a while month with no branded food items, a month of no beige freezer crap, a month where one kitchen roll lasts, the day we stopped using baby wipes forever, a month of healthy breakfasts (as mentioned above), a month of snacks changing from biscuits to fruit or a healthy bar, Woey and Ben give up Chinese takeaways for a month, the downstairs wet room is cleared and fit for full purpose, the mud kitchen is completed and of a good quality and, finally, the day we destroyed the bleeping memory boxes. That's your year sorted, your views up, and everyone healthy all round. On top of that your monthly spending would significantly reduce. Not sure you'd get your 100k subscribers but you may gain a few more. A 'few more' Benny Blunder, don't get too excited.

I think a qualified teacher would struggle to provide an adequate education to kids of multiple different year groups all at once. I see how much planning my son has to do for just one year group! They’re bringing up the next generation of UC claimants, just like them.

The report is taken at face value and I expect some do falsify unfortunately.

I’m not a fan of keto, but if you try it make sure you check with your gp first. I’m more of a fan of everything in moderation, i lost two stone with the plates that portion how much protein, veg / carbs

My other half is on healthy eating currently, he needs to lose a couple of stone (he's very tall). I've started making him a large pan of vegetable soup (all different types) every few days. He will have for lunch with a sandwich of 2 slices from a small wholemeal loaf with some cold meat and salad and may even have some soup late afternoon. However, if I suggested that the soup (and each one I make is hearty) and a slice of crusty bread was his evening meal I think he'd immediately go to the chip shop! Soup is NOT a main meal no matter how hearty it is. Woey has zero understanding about nutrition.
