Does anyone follow these guys?

They are a couple living in Uganda, Emilie and Josh. With their four adopted children.

I have been watching all their videos and I feel so protective over Emilie. I think she’s really struggling right now in Uganda.

I follow her but haven’t seen her pop up in a while. Last time I saw her page she was doing a go fund me for her and Adam to go out there. Is she livid there now, why do you think she’s struggling?

Been seeing her recent Tik Toks and came on to see if there was a thread, she’s back in the UK with her eldest but she’s posted all the negative comments she’s been getting. I’m not sure the timeline for Josh and the younger two to get to the UK or even if it is possible

so she moved back to the UK with Adam for a couple years but they went back out to Uganda in December to be with the other children and Josh.

she’s spoken about how hard life is in Uganda, obviously it’s a developing country and there’s bureaucracy. They bought a car and then five days later one of Josh’s friends destroyed it

Josh never seems to be around, and she’s at home with all the kids and no running water etc.

I just really feel for her. She has said that her plan is not to live in Uganda forever but wants to bring the 3 other children to the UK. However it seems impossible because if you are bringing a spouse and 3 kids you need a crazy amount of money to sponsor them.

I know she firstly had Adam (who’s a Uk citizen now) and then the other 3 kids came to stay with them and obviously now she’s become very attached to them, and they are beautiful children so it’s easy to see why. Just dont know how it will all work out

I honestly wonder what her parents think, she’s obviously been really struggling and down recently in her Uganda vlogs, must be hard for them to see as she’s such a wonderful person that deserves happiness but is putting everyone else’s needs first.

I hope Josh is a nice guy, she talks of him nicely but then some comments people say ‘he’s a typical Ugandan man I know what their like’ or ‘why is he always gone’ yadda yadda

I remember seeing her years ago on Facebook when she was going through the process of adopting Adam, she seemed a nice enough girl. It’s up to her I guess how she lives her life but I wish she would fund it herself, the constant begging for money for this or that just doesn’t sit right with me. Josh doesn’t seem one bit interested in her. I feel sorry for Adam that he was taken to the UK for a much better life & has had that taken from him he must be so confused being taken between Uganda & the UK just so his mum can be with a man who pays her no interest & seems to have just landed her with various relatives children, he very quickly moved one child after another into their home while she was in the process of adopting Adam.

I feel quite protective over her and Adam too, their whole situation is bizarre to me.
I had a really interesting sift through their YouTube videos recently and there’s a video from late July where Emilie and Josh say they basically broke up and things aren’t working but they’re trying to get through it with therapy.
The body language in the video is very telling though; she seems to be yearning for touch and affirmations from him and he’s sitting there a bit like an emotionless statue.
They say their main issues are cultural differences and communication, but imo it doesn’t seem to be any better throughout the video

I hope her time in the UK is helping her to seriously reconsider the position she’s putting herself and Adam in.

The whole think is very off. He’s taking the piss right out of her & she’s putting herself and her son in extremely vulnerable situations all for a man who doesn’t want her. I really feel for Adam he must be so confused being taken from country to country , he must miss his life in England and grandparents terribly .

Agreed Cass - it’s clear as day to see Josh isn’t into her. She needs to wake up and think of Adam who is legally her child, rather than all these other children that understandably she thinks of as her own but legally aren't. I fear that in the process of trying to ‘save them all’ she is falling short of what she should be providing for Adam.

She doesn’t need to totally disconnect from the other children and that’s not what I’m suggesting - but it’s pretty out there to think they will all be able to live over here as a family of 6 and she’s being delulu.

Yeah, it’s all a bit confusing

She said in a comment that it’s not the financial aspect of the visa that’s holding them back it’s the adoption process. But then when they’re in Uganda they’re rescuing puppies and all sorts of other random things.

I understand that she feels she can’t just leave the other 3 children now, it’s been years and they are bonded. But why not just focus on the adoption, instead of anything else. In her vlogs she says Josh barely sleeps and he’s out literally doing anything but sorting the adoption.

I've seen her on tiktok a lot lately, she is doing a go fund me to get them all to the UK. She is trying to raise 80k which is a huge amount here and probably even a higher amount in Uganda.
From what I can gather she adopted one son, the rest of the kids are relatives of her partner, and even he cannot say exactly how they are related (she seems lovely but I wouldn't be surprised if he had a Ugandan wife and there were his kids from her but they want to get them to the UK in hopes of being educated here than being able to send back money when they are old enough to be working here )
especially as I think it's unusual in African cultures to be bf and GF for almost 10 years.
She also has Amazon wishlists so she seems to be getting a good following but I also think she's seen as a meal ticket for a big family on Josh's side.
Even with that money I think it will be a job getting them all to the UK and getting past the processes.
She may not be able to adopt the children of Josh's family because if they already having a living mother and father (think the African countries put in laws on this with westerners adopting the babies, remember one of madonnas kids had a living father and it caused controversy) so will be very difficult process.
I am interested to see how her journey unfolds
