That was from this last week definitely it looks like it was when she bailed out Kendra that's what she was wearing and holding in the photos.

It seems the guy was press but didn't know who was who. He thought Kendra was daughter and Joe was son in law

Police videos of them both have been released .

For the timeline investigators went to their home after the first report against Joe then their home was searched which led to additional charges against them for their own children.

Locks on the outside of bedroom doors = the false imprisonment charge.

I find it absolutely wild that having a lock on the outside is illegal. I'm fairly sure the Radfords had locks in the very early episodes 😱

They did, at least took the handles off so the kids couldnt get out

Maybe there were kids locked in the rooms though, hence the false imprisonment charges? Im not sure how she could have been charged with that if tge rooms were empty?

They follow the IBlP (in basic life principles) founded by Bill Gothard.

There is so much that goes into Christian fundamentalism denominations such as the IBLP that you read it and go “Jesus did not die on the cross for people to believe it’s gospel.”
Looked up Bill Gothard and this came up on wiki

"In 2014, he stepped down from IBLP after 34 women accused him of sexual harassment and molestation, with some incidents allegedly occurring when the victims were minors.[2] In 2016, Gothard and IBLP were sued by a group of alleged victims.[5] The lawsuit was dismissed in 2018, as the statute of limitations had been exceeded.[6][7]"

I'm pretty sure Rebecca Lamb Hobson locked her boy in his room.

I find it bad enough when people put baby gates on bedroom doors. I know they have reasons but I find it as bad as locking them in.

This is straight from their handbook, it shows you why Joe confessed so easily (almost stupidly for his legal defense)

The gates are for safety so you can leave the door open and the kids can't get out and fall downstairs ect.

Yer I know why, I've family members use them as a form of restraint / for an easier night which is why I dont like the idea at all.

What's the alternative though? the child falls down the stairs.

You wouldn't hear them coughing/choking with the door closed, so having it open with the gate up is the safest option.

Most people put a gate on the top of the stairs though not over the doors. Or at least we did

We did that too. But there could still be dangers in the hallway and they could try the handles of other doors where there's no gate.

I had a child in a cot (18 months maybe), who managed to climb out, get through propped open door and climb on a chair by a bannister and throw themselves over, all in the middle of the night! Luckily absolutely no damage done at all ( hospital trip involved!) stairgate went on bedroom door immediately and the chair was removed! For some reason they couldn’t climb over the stair gate! ! It happened nearly 40 years ago but still haunts me!
