On the subject of fillers and facelifts and the like, I have friends who are older than me (and one younger) who have so overdone it they no longer look like themselves. I think fan is skating perilously close, if she hasn’t already gone over the line.

That said, I think women should do what makes them feel good. Personally, I’m going to age as well as I can, without procedures. I will also say that it makes me so sad that there is such an emphasis on retaining youthful appearances that people go to such extreme measures. 😕

Eta: plus I am a complete chicken and would never voluntarily go under a knife or have needles jabbed in me. 🫣😉
I find it appalling and disappointing that people are doing all this stuff to their faces and bodies and there are surgeons willing to do it, all in the name of self-esteem. I think we should be helping people to accept that their nose is not that big or weird, your little bits are perfectly normal and lines are part of life and anything can be considered beautiful - instead we have people who end up on Botched because they can't stop faking their looks. (People who have had accidents or major birth defects are not included in this.) Body Modification is not a good thing for Society as a whole.

You are all invited to my place my yorkshires are really quite good. Pity about the rest of the meal but there you go can’t have it all. Don’t rush though as we are off to Spain on Thursday hopefully for a bit of sun.

Oh, too true …. I could never have my skin tightened or a needle voluntarily near my eyes ,near my mouth ,that just seems like it would hurt so much. To me , it’s not worth the pain. Fannie is trying to keep all that up, because she films herself ??? I don’t know …it seems like torture.
I do understand if you’ve had an accident or if you need it for your self-esteem or whatever to each his own , but for me no way, I’ll keep my little wrinkles.

That’s all she could do after that class? Her frosting has lumps (didn’t sift powdered sugar?), the bottom edge looks like it has melted off the cake and it’s not even smoothed out with the spatula on the top or sides. 😳 Bless.
Hopefully FRK will learn iced cakes and heat lamps don't mix. o_O

I keep thinking about what Yannis said: it's all fake - they never intend on finishing anything, it's just for the vlog. So in theory, even this studio business is fake and he never intends on having a viable business?
I think about that too although I kind of figured it out especially with Michael P.

I think the same is true with Steph-toe and Son.

Proof that she didn't make and ice SJ'S yellow birthday cake.

Chateau DIY started again yesterday. I caught yesterday's episode on playback (easier than watching live as you can ff) The intro included SJ and PJ engagement meal in the walled garden. PJ sporting his long hair under straw hat. Pity anything they are including in current series is before Turkey trip. Dying to see how they explain that.

I guess I was used to vloggers who were completing things weekly; making good progress - it didn't dawn on me that it was just for content. I believed MP when he started the cottage - but we never saw the bathroom or bedroom finished before he moved onto the greenhouse; he had plans to make it a drawing studio. Perhaps he started out with good intentions but drifted into content only?

Re:Stan. So is this woman helper the DD from Billys Convent that got locked out of the apartment she was renovating? Was she ever at the Farm house? Seems like she is everywhere all of a sudden.

I agree I think they could do with a tone down on the makeup. I’m 75 this year and have had to change up my makeup. Personally I think it’s really a case of less is more especially for hooded eyes. Mine have gotten awful. I stick it mainly crème formulas and some soft eyeliner.
Jez, Quoting myself twice in one week…… I’m not 75, I’m heading to 65 🥴

Deep breath…. I own a chateau. I’ve been here for many years mostly watching and laughing along with you all, my freinds by proxy. After the usual Easter debacle I thought it would be interesting to some, what is usual for locals here In my corner of South west France. Saturday night started the egg hunt, no child’s game, this started with a few drinks at the Mairie before starting on an epic pub crawl with no pubs. The group turn up at house after house blasting the traditional chanson des parcillions from an old ghetto blaster as the only accordionist JP is at Orléans at the moment. They gather eggs and drink at every house they visit. They got to us at 4.30am and roused us by blasting a hunting horn through the cat flap. My husband sprang into action. I muttered some very bad words and went to sleep. Apparently we hosted a dozen people including our newly elected Maire who was three sheets to the wind. Monday our comité des fêtes made a fabulous 3 course omelette feast with all their spoils for around 300 people. Tuesday we were tipped off was a fabulous casse croûte we have taken advantage of many times before, soup, tête de veau, steak frites, cheese then a digestive for €18. At 9am. And that’s what life is here, marvellous, surprising and nothing like our lives in the UK. It’s been 5 days and counting since we had a night without an unexpected visitor for apéro. All the best bits of life in France she misses! That’s why I stopped watching and why I lost interest in the channel. I kept watching for ages in the way you keep checking in on an old friend hoping she’s sorted herself out but it’s never going to happen. Tant pis pour elle!

Thanks as ever ComtesseRose 💐 and to you @Lady Avonlea. Lochy sending you hugs. Do we think F4F will ever dump Loser Herbert? Surely he must be intensely irritating to be around....All that lack of knowledge combined with his pretension and entitlement must be nauseating for anyone in his vicinity.

Well now that sounds like my kind of celebration. Thanks for taking the time to share a bit of French reality.
Well off topic, as I sit here waiting to see if Grumpy Grandpa and his entourage fling the globe in to yet more chaos and danger. I want to thank you all for the laughs. I shall be drinking spiced rum, eating garlic prawns and salad and playing this tune as loud as I can bare it. As Dan would say “Whiiiiiissst, see ya tomorrow”.

Back at Lochys house I have had an emergency dental appointment and now on antibiotics.
Having a quick rest and Tattle catch up!
It is gloriously sunny in South East England.

At Easter at La landfill we did not see the sheep or the two hens, I hope they survived…
Baldilocks apparently stayed up late preparing Easter baskets for 6 guests , another unlikely story as they are not exactly charming or Eastery.

Why would you holiday in France and end up with biscuits from the UK and chocolate from Switzerland?
Surely there are lovely chocolatiers nearby?

I hope you can rest dear Lochy. My family are in the SE, I was expecting to be envious of their weather but unexpectedly on this Scottish Isle it's been glorious!

Well it appears tonight’s menu will be Prawn TACO. I’m still drinking the spiced rum though. Here are a couple of pic of things that love about the USA right now.

Look at her/his torn wing
🙁. Thankfully it didn’t seem to be a problem and she/he was flitting all over.

This lovely fella was waiting on his good lady having her fill at the feeders. Right now, for me, the geography and wildlife are what keep me in love with the USA (and hubs of course). ☺

For me, it is the use of highly qualified medical staff wasting their talents on superficial procedures. Where I live there are waiting lists as long as your arm for non threatening surgical procedures, procedures which can alter a persons day to day pain management.
Fancy living in a society where the cost of altering your looks to look so fake and cookie cutter when that money could be used on housing or a better lifestyle.
I would like to take a few on a trip to places where plastic looks are not heard of and where day to day survival and education are the most important things. Perhaps I could start a niche travel business:D
